GAMETRADE.com is an innovative start-up web site that will bring video game players together to trade games person to person.  This idea will save its members hundreds of dollars per year by not having to trade in their video games to retail outlets.

What is GameTrade?

The purpose of GameTrade.com is to establish a forum where people can trade video games locally with people who live in the same city or town.  This web site will become the alternative to taking video games to your local retail store where customers would receive a small percentage of what they actually paid.

GameTrade.com is a compelling business concept that leverages the advancements of companies like Craigslist and Ebay.  People realize that dealing person to person is a great way to save money in today’s economy.  The video game industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and GameTrade.com will become the premier venue for people to trade their games.

So how does Gametrade work?

Signing up is free! Once your a member you can list all your games into your personal profile. Then search for games you want and make offers to those who live near you. When two members agree on a trade, they make arrangements through email to meet in person and exchange games. No mailing involved.  

You get to see what you are actually getting!   

With each pledge of $20 or more you will be entered into a raffle to win a Sony Playstation 4 when it releases later this year! Winner will be announced via our Facebook page on 6/10/2013.  

*OFFICIAL RULES - One winner will be chosen at random on June 10th, 2013.  Winner will be notified by mail or email and will be announced via GameTrade's Facebook page.  PS4 is expected to release between October and December of 2013.  If game system cannot be delivered for any reason, raffle winner will receive $400. Odds of winning the prize depend opon total amount of entries.    

How does your support help GameTrade?

The majority of the funds raised through this fundraiser will be used for marketing. We need to get the word out and let as many people know what GameTrade is all about so you can start trading with other gamers in your city.  In todays economy people are looking for every way to save money and we need to let them know that this web site will do exactly that.

The rest of the funds raised will be used to improve the overall functionality of the web site.  As of right now the web site is 95% complete and has a planned launch date of 5/1/2013.  During beta launch we will look for areas of functionality that need improvement.

How this all started!

My friends and I all love video games and enjoyed playing them online with each other. As you may already know, video games are expensive and the trade in value at retail outlets is very little.  So I thought, why not skip the middle man and develop a web site to trade video games with other gamers directly who live in my city.  I believe you should be able to play a lot of games and keep some money in your pocket at the same time. 

So, with the idea in mind I founded GameTrade.com.  With an MBA,  an undergraduate degree in Technical Management, and a great support staff, I feel we can take GameTrade to a well known brand.  I have spent the last 13 years  managing multi-million dollar retail stores. I believe my expertise and experience in management and marketing gives me the confidence that with your help we can be successful at accomplishing this business venture and take GameTrade.com to the next level!
