    What We Do

Arachnid Amp Cabs USA is a company that builds and designs guitar amplification cabinets. We utilize the highest of carpentry standards by dove tailing our joints, as well as using common screw and glue method. We offer a unique customization of truck bed liner colors to fit a musicians personal taste and attitude. For a small finishing touch we offer our cabinets in a variety of speaker size configurations from 2x12 (Two, 12" speakers), 2x10, 4x12, 4x10 and multiple other speaker configurations including a speaker-less cabinet for the individual that wishes to buy our product, save 300 dollars and get that "Do-It-Yourself" feeling.

    How It Works

Our product takes the sound produced from a musicians guitar and amplifier head and projects it through the speakers in our cabinets. We wire our cabinets in series-parallel which means whatever a speakers ohm rating is that's what the entire cab produces as well as being able to input into either side of the jack plate.  You then can daisy chain (hook up to another speaker cabinet) and get half the ohm load.  The truck bed lining we put on our cabinets is a thick liquid plastic that dries and becomes tough as nails after 4 hours and two coats.  The truck bed liner allows musicians to take their cabinets to shows and on the road and not worry about it getting dinged and gouged like normal Tolex does. After so much road abuse, if a musician wants, they can come through us and order a pint of the truck bed liner we initially applied and touch up any blemished areas for a 1/4 of the cost it would take to re-tolex a normal amp cabinet.

Why Buy / How We're Different

Guitarists and musicians want high quality with a low price tagged attached to it.  Here at Arachnid Amp Cabinets USA we produce those high quality amp cabinets that undercut anything similar when it comes to price and that is what musicians are looking for. This company is founded by two guitarists and as musicians we scrutinize the quality, integrity and price point for gear. We came to the conclusion we could build a product that 30-50 year established companies could never beat monetarily speaking. Our target market consists mainly of musicians, but can peak interest in studio sound engineers even clubs looking to have back-line of amp cabinets. Our market is laregely male with 87.5% and 12.5 being female. 6.5% of our males makeup is in the 13-17 year age range, 42.5% falls into the 18-24 year age range, 25.5% are in the 25-34 year age range, 9% makes up the 35-44 age group and 2% being 45-65 plus. These statistics are from our Exported Data Feed and we've only had our site up since February 2012. Our product is being recognized in Indonesia,  the Phillipines, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, Mexico, Romania, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as Oklahoma, Various regions of California, Minnesota, Virginia, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, and Nevada. Our market is extremely huge and international.

    Arachnid VS. Industry Standard

The honest thing is...you won't find what we're offering from any company at the price point we're offering our cabinets at. In order to get dovetail joinery you're looking at higher end amplifier companies at pricepoints above 900 and 1200 dollars.  One company in particular doesn't even dovetail their cabinet joints.   I've watched their online factory tour and they price their cabinets at 1000 or more.  As for the truck bed lining the only other company that offers it charges an additional 80 dollars on top of their 700 dollar price point and only offer it in black.  To take your cab and get it professionally sprayed at dealers people are reporting they have payed anywhere from 150-250 bucks and once again it's usually in either black, grey or red.  We do everything we describe at a 699.99 price point and even offer 24 colors.  We can even save the customer 280 dollars, that's 419.99 for a cab, if they're just looking for a replacement cabinet and love their own speakers.  100 bucks off both of those prices for endorsed musicians

Dovetail joinery is EXTREMELY strong when it comes to cabinet joinery and it insures perfect fit and durability.  When made properly you don't even need an adhesive with dovetail joints (we still glue and screw the joints as well as dovetail). A butt joint (when you back two edges of your wood together and just glue and screw) has no mechanical strength so once you drop your cab, which musicians and roadies do, you'll start to get separation and introduce points for air leaks and your cabinet will eventually fall apart.  The Truck bed liner helps keep the integrity of the wood in tact while musicians are moving their gear from show to show.  Not saying this stuff can't ding but it won't get torn into the way tolex does.  In order to get your cab back to show room condition you have to re-tolex the cab and will cost the average person 50-70 dollars,  Customers can buy a pint of their color and a roller for about 20 bucks-35 after shipping and handling and actually re-touch their cabinet in a matter of minutes if they feel their cabs have received too much road love.  We use Solid Pine for our out shell and Birch Plywood for the front baffle and back.  The woods have different sound properties, Pine being phenomenal for mid and treble frequencies while birch is great for bringing out the low end of a guitarists tone.  We feel we have an excellent product that you'll have to see to believe

History, Traction, & Why We're Raising

Robert has had the idea for this company since August of 2011. He made the first prototype between the months of January and March of 2012 using nothing more than a router, jig saw, drill and circular saw. We made necessary large tool purchases (1100 dollars worth) shortly after the prototype was finished to start work on a production model. We are now in the production phase and looking to raise funds to build a back stock of hardware, speakers and wood, along with some small tools. This in turn will bring down the overall cost of cabinets giving us that much more of a competitive advantage. With the proper funds we can decrease the time of production by 12 days by not having to wait for hardware and speakers to ship to us and we'll be able to bring down the cost of our cabs significantly by 100-200 dollars.
