Knowledge right at your fingertips: that is the power of the Internet. Wireless technology promises us this power anytime and anywhere. However, that's not really the case.

In reality, the Internet gets congested as more and more networks connect more and more devices from an ever increasing number of people who depend on wireless.

Badu Networks uses a proprietary technology called WarpTCP that will make wireless (cellular & Wi-Fi) 2 to 3 times faster and transform how we download and upload content today and in the future.

The ever-increasing demand for Internet and connectivity, especially with the paradigm-shifting transition to mobile and Internet of Things, has led consumers to use mobile devices and seek more content at higher quality and at faster speed.

Consumers are regularly spending more money acquiring faster cell speeds, faster Wi-Fi routers, more bandwidth, and more network optimization. However it’s more of the same things and these same things bow to the same problem of network congestion. In fact, the more mobile and wireless devices (like routers and access points), the more interference create.

For the enterprise market, this presents a significant problem that affects their infrastructure and their business in many ways. Consumers are faced with delays that affect their daily life and productivity as the Internet and wireless technology mesh deeper and deeper into their lives.

The 40-year old TCP protocol, which acts as a network traffic cop, has been outpaced by the growing need of wireless consumers worldwide, while future mobile technologies and volume overrunning TCP's ability.

Adding bandwidth or upgrading routers does not always fix Wi-Fi throughput. It certainly does not scale. Throughput improvement is only a fraction of the bandwidth increases. In order to truly maximize available bandwidth and thus speed up network performance, we at Badu offers our revolutionary accelerator, WarpTCP™ (WTCP). WarpTCP increases internet speed for up to 3x (or more depending on bandwidth availability and network conditions), thus improving all of the world’s traffic which runs on TCP (which is approx. 95% of the world's network traffic).

Badu Networks capitalizes on improving how TCP manages congestion. The result is higher bandwidth utilization resulting in better end user experience. WarpTCP improves both on the downstream AND the upstream. This is becoming important today as more traffic is going upstream. We automatically solve TCP’s loopholes and therefore maximize bandwidth. Best of all, our solution can be easily deployed anywhere in the network.

The Badu Networks product line consists of:

The Enterprise product family, consisting of WarpCE, WarpEngine, WarpCloud and other products, is a server-side implementation of WTCP. These are designed to be highly scalable, highly available, and deployable in just about any network environment.

These gateway products are designed to deploy easily on the client-side of existing wireless networks, increasing efficiency, supporting more user traffic and helping avoid costly bandwidth upgrades.

OEM offers optimization solutions that integrate into new and existing products. These products extend the life of existing mobile products—from handsets and tablets to wireless routers and hotspots.

WarpService is the first close-proximity dynamic acceleration service that deploys in data centers as a custom solution. This speeds up un-cacheable dynamic content from web servers, complementing any CDN to deliver faster page loads. This is all done transparently with no changes to the application.

Current TCP optimization technologies merely address loss and latency as catalysts for creating adjustments and re-transmitting packets. However, WTCP does more by augmenting data points with additional meta-data, distinguishing loss from actual congestion and thus more effectively addressing specific connectivity bottlenecks.

Our technology focuses on the transport layer (layer 4 of the OSI stack), so we complement network optimization solutions on the other network layers.

In addition, WTCP is very scalable so we can easily  take into consideration the exponential growth potential of mobile and Wi-Fi traffic, especially with the rise of the Internet of Things. We do this by improving on current and past TCP optimization systems and reacting to network events in real time eliminating the need for fine-tuning and constant adjustments.

Badu Networks is changing the landscape of Internet connectivity. Since our launch, we have offered a variety of hardware and software solutions to optimize network performance. We currently have 4 pending patents and 8 provisional ones.

Our products have proven to be highly saleable and highly reliable through various tests we have conducted with our partners. We are also working on evaluations at various companies, including:

We are seeing an increasing organic demand for our technology especially with a our appliance in production at a small hotel (the hotel's 15x2 broadband Wi-Fi system is supporting 50-60 simultaneous mobile devices sufficiently). There is also business development interest from companies such as O2, T-Mobile Europe, Sprint USA, Verizon, Nike, and a medium-sized hotel chain. Currently, we are developing a hotspot with a recent partner, Xpal Power, using our OEM Software.
