Winner of the Crowd2Shelf Contest Will Have the Opportunity to Sell on Staples.com and/or Staples Shelves

COLUMBUS, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Fundable, the largest business crowdfunding platform, and Staples (NASDAQ: SPLS) have teamed up to launch the first Crowd2Shelf Contest. Created by Fundable and sponsored by Staples, the Crowd2Shelf Contest drew thousands of startups across the country to compete for a chance to crowdfund their way to Staples’ shelves.

A panel of innovation experts including Fundable and Staples representatives selected the Top 25 submissions that will continue in the Crowd2Shelf Contest. From the Top 25 entrants, three companies will be chosen as final winners. These contestants will be judged on their number of votes, success of their crowdfunding campaign, and judges’ recommendations.

“At Staples, we are focused on helping our customers make more happen with innovative new products to help their businesses succeed,” said Scott Young, senior vice president, product and business development, Staples. “We’re excited to be working with Fundable to support emerging companies and find great new products.”

The winning entrant(s) will have the opportunity to present their products to the Staples store merchandising teams for the chance to sell their products in Staples stores and/or on Staples.com through the Staples Brands Group product line.
