BuyitForward is a new online marketplace harnessing the power of the people to raise money for nonprofit organizations.

We have created a platform on which you can sell any of the unused items you having lying around your house and have the proceeds go toward your favorite nonprofit. You know that old toy that you’ve been wanting to sell on Craigslist? Sell it on BuyitForward instead and have the money go toward an organization that needs it.

At BuyitForward, we are dedicated to creating simple, yet significant funding sources for nonprofits. Our online marketplace is a place where every buy makes good happen.

There are more than 1.8 million active nonprofits across America. And the competition to find funding to keep them running is intense. Even though some nonprofits have large amounts of supporters, only about 5% of Americans actually donate money to them. Why such a small population of givers? Most people say they don’t give often because of a lack of cash available to do so.

On our BuyitForward site, we allow people to donate to their favorite non profit by selling their unused items to create cash that goes directly to the organization. It’s like eBay for fundraising. The average American has more than $7,000 of unused items in their household. With BuyitForward, if you don’t have that extra pile of cash to donate, you can turn any of your old stuff into valuable donations for an organization that desperately needs it.

But we don’t stop there. At BuyitForward, we also work with our registered NPOs to create effective strategies and successful campaigns. We give each organization that signs up with us their own co-branded microsite on our webpage. This allows each NPO to have a space where they can showcase what they do and who they do it for to better inform potential donators.

BuyitForward is in the business of helping others. Now, anyone can donate whatever they have to help out a cause they care about.

We make it as simple as possible to donate your unused items. It works just like any other ecommerce site:

Snap some pictures of the item you want to sell

Pick which nonprofit organization you want your sale proceeds to go to

Post your item on our BuyitForward.com marketplace, where other people can search for items they are looking to buy

And boom, you’re done!

After your item sells, exchanges can be made in person or via shipping. Our win-win solution is free to join with just a $7 fee per transaction. After the fee, the rest of the proceeds of the sale will go toward the worthy cause you picked.

As a startup just entering the scene, we have made some great strides and have gotten a lot of people excited.

As of now, our product is complete and in the marketplace. The platform was built to allow us to easily scale to all of the U.S. market as we continue to grow. We are more than ready to handle a huge influx of volume in 2015.

More than 40 NPOs, faith-based organizations and schools have already signed up to use BuyitForward. These include big name nonprofits like Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, the Humane Society, Michael J. Fox's Team Fox, Ally4C, United Cerebral Palsy and many others. In our early test pilots, we have raised more than $25,000 for these organizations. This immediate adoption and acceptance for our product has us very hopeful as we continue to develop and market ourselves.

In recognizing the value of our brand, we published our trademark in October 2014.

Entering the New Year, we are constantly developing our product and services to best serve you. Future plans include expansions into the mobile app and social sharing atmospheres as our user base grows. To learn more about our plans, please request access to the Business Plan side of this profile.
