Coal Creek Vineyard is a new vineyard and winery coming soon to Tuttle, Oklahoma.

The US wine industry is growing by leaps and bounds, and at Coal Creek we think it’s high time for Oklahoma wines to come into their own. So we’re setting out to build the next great Oklahoma winery.  One that will put Oklahoma on the map for American wine lovers once and for all!

The mission of Coal Creek Vineyard is simple: to create the best-tasting, highest-quality local wines in the state of Oklahoma.

Our 25 acres of vineyard will be home to many varietals of grapes, which we will use to create a rich selection of delicious, made-in-Oklahoma wines ranging from dry to sweet, red to white — all produced, blended and bottled right in our cellar.

Coal Creek Vineyard will be designed to evoke a plantation atmosphere.  The winery, equipment, and tasting room will all be housed in the “stables”, while the spacious main house will provide a perfect venue for hosting events.

And old-world tradition will meet will meet new-world innovation with our harvesting methods: Coal Creek will utilize state-of-the-art mechanical harvesting equipment that will bring the Oklahoma wine community into the 21st century.

The team behind Coal Creek Vineyard is no stranger to vineyard success: they already struck gold once with Summerside Vineyards.

Located on historic Route 66 and home to our award winning wines, Summerside is a pre-eminent Oklahoma vineyard and winery since 2008 and the first Oklahoma meadery. Our founders took over Summerside and quickly doubled the winery’s business. Today, Summerside wines are available in more than 170 retail locations across Oklahoma.

Now, our team is excited to take the experience and relationships they have built at Summerside and translate them to the new Coal Creek Vineyard venture. Their goal: to build the largest vineyard and winery in the state of Oklahoma.

Lisa Griffin, President
Lisa discovered her passion for wine and decided to pour her heart and soul into making outstanding wine in 2011. She studied Enology and Viticulture at Redlands College, and has traveled throughout the United States from Arkansas to California watching the winemaking process and experiencing the wines in different regions of the country.

Billy Griffin, Vice President
Billy has a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University and has managed his own law practice for 15 years.

Kristy Factor, General Manager
Kristy has a degree in Enology and Viticulture from Redlands College.  Her management experience stems from many high profile clients since 2004 when she obtained a management position at Oklahoma City's Areana, formerly Ford Center.  She took that experience and transitioned into a management position for the Oklahoma City Thunder, our beloved NBA team.

John Factor, Wholesale Manager
John's experience stems from his years of working for LDF Distributors, a company which handles clients such as Red Bull, Coors, and numerous other beverage companies.  Those 9 years of experience included warehouse management, sales and distribution.

We're so close to having Coal Creek up and running, we can practically taste the tannins now! Construction of the Coal Creek winery building is already underway, and we have already purchased all the equipment we need to process and make our wines. The last thing we need to start producing our delicious wines are the grapes! And that’s where your help comes in.

With this fundraiser, we need to raise $25,000 to allow us to purchase and install a trellis system and grape vines.
