CYCLOPS Gear Media Kit

Elevator pitch

Cyclops is crowdfunding a line of wearable 1080p Wi-Fi cameras built right into sunglasses and goggles. The hands-free line was created so that skiers, surfers, and adventure seekers can record anything, anywhere.

It’s Google Glass meets GoPro, at an incredibly accessible price point.

Why this matters

Priced at $179, the Cyclops line is nearly half the price of the cheapest glasses on the market, while maintaining high end features like 1080p recording and Wi-Fi.

- $179 for full 1080p HD
- Great looking, UV protective sunglasses and goggles
- Wi-fi streaming or built-in SD card up to 64gb

Who is the audience?

Cyclops targets outdoors adventure seekers looking to record their activities in 1080p HD.

- Skiers, Surfers, Skateboarders, Motocross
- Mountain climbers, outdoorsmen, Hunters
- Cyclists, Marathon Runners
- Parents

Competition

There are a handful of competitors in-market that feature different glasses or goggles, but even the cheapest is twice the price of Cyclops with less features.

About the Founder

Launched by self-professed sports junkie and outdoorsman, Mark Krause.

Mark’s vision is to offer hands-free video recording devices for sports enthusiasts of all kinds- whether their passion is windsurfing, kite-surfing, surfing, and snowboarding biking, mountain climbing, or even sky diving. He set out to find a great way to capture his greatest adventures; he realized that there was nothing on the market that allowed him to do so without tying up his hands or adding bulk that could affect his performance.

Pull Quote:

“I came up for the idea for Cyclops the day that I found myself alone at the top of a mountain, with a  stunning panoramic view of mountain peaks surrounding me. I wanted to record that moment, and I wanted to do it on the fly, without weighing down my trek. After making my way down the mountain and heading home, I did some research and realized that no other camera existed met the needs of truly active people. I set out to create one.”
