Shooting fireballs with Mario was a thrill back in the day - but in 2016, gamers need a little more.

Despite the industry’s awesome advancements, today’s video game players are becoming frustrated with online multiplayer games due to business models that are largely gamer-unfriendly.

With key social influencers loving our progress already, we’re ready to move forward with development and with bringing Eternal adventure to gamers!

We’ve come quite a long way since the days of 2-button controllers and 8-bit villains.  The video gaming world has seen an incredible transformation since the 1976 release of the original Atari - with breathtaking design and extensive storylines now becoming the norm.  In some cases, it’s even become difficult to distinguish a video game trailer from that of a full length motion picture.  Thanks to continuous advances in hardware and software technology, and the numerous new devices that are hitting the market, the gaming market is still thriving; and in turn, gamers are expecting bigger and better experiences.

Allowing for interaction between thousands of players at once, these games are a great representation of the industry’s innovation - combining beautiful design with constantly evolving, in-depth storylines.

But despite a spike in their development, extensive research shows dissatisfaction amongst the gaming community when it comes to MMORPGs.  The root cause of this dissatisfaction lies in the games’ “Free to Play” revenue model, one that more and more developers are embracing.  Though helpful in getting gamers started, this model forces them to make in-game purchases in order to gain any real progress - turning many off from the genre.  Furthermore, developers are losing focus on adding innovative gaming content in exchange for adding more “upsales” that generate additional revenue.  Many MMORPGs are starting to get stale as a result; now, it’s time for a developer to step up and get the very promising genre back on the right track.

MMORPGs are nothing without the large communities of committed gamers that play them; and now, we’re putting the power back in their hands.  Here at GameNotOver Studio, we create fun, in-depth, AAA quality games catered to both casual and serious gamers.  We’re flipping the script on the current gaming world with Eternal Relics - a community-driven MMORPG that’s more unique than anything you’ve ever played.  It’s a fantasy action adventure that blends eastern and western culture, creating appeal to a larger audience than other games can boast.  Through extensive research on what gamers like and dislike in MMORPGs - and by keeping our audience involved in its development - Eternal Relics is able to differentiate and provide an escape from the dissatisfaction that currently exists.

As for the storyline, when you think Eternal Relics, think World of Warcraft or Diablo.  Many eons ago, there existed three beings: Light, Darkness, and Mother Nature.  In the neverending battle between darkness and light, the dark started manipulating Mother Nature - cunningly poisoning her with sweet words and friendship until the two joined forces.  Darkness would then become more powerful than ever, causing light to fade and taking the vibrant life and beauty of Mother Nature with it.  Mother Nature, as a result, separated into 4 entities: Krodh, guardian of fire; Bal, guardian of earth; Chaaya, guardian of water; and Gyaan, guardian of air.  Each went its separate way; and now, it’s up to the player to reunite Mother Nature.

The game starts with a cloud of mystery, with our first introduction being to a character that has no idea he’s doing in the world he’s presented with.  Then, as the story begins to materialize, the character travels back in time - eventually revealing our role in the game.  There’s no telling where the Eternal Relics adventure will take us next!

Eternal Relics presents gamers with a vast open world to explore containing aesthetically beautiful design, architecture, and culture.  But for as spacious and intricate the world is, the game itself remains simple and intuitively-controlled.  There are 4 different elemental factions to play with, covering both genders - Fire, Earth, Water, and Air.  Each faction is provided with its own deep immersive game storyline and unique ultimate destiny.  Our gameplay also allows for self-discovery - meaning storylines are continued beyond just one fixed result based on actions in the game.  Best of all, gamers pay to play just one time - revealing 100% of what Eternal Relics has to offer in an ad-free experience.

In terms of development, our talented engineers are using the world’s most advanced game engine - called Unreal Engine 4 - to craft an unparalleled Eternal Relics adventure.  Once development is complete, Unreal will also help us easily port the game out to multiple platforms.  Here are just a handful of the features and benefits it’s helped us tie in to Eternal Relics:

Complete control - From casting spells to miscellaneous skills, players control every aspect of their characters - making every element of the game unique for each gamer.  Nothing is set in stone, as each elemental faction can learn and use any skill or ability in the game.

Hone your skills - Success in Eternal Relics is highly dependent upon the skills you acquire throughout the game.  All 100+ quests are open from the beginning; however, some will be impossible to complete unless you possess a certain summon, spell, or combat move.

No grinding - Instead of wasting time killing giant crabs, gain XP by doing what you love.  Training other players, traveling the world, and even fighting your friends are all ways to progress.

PVP/PVE versatility - Want to call out one of your neighbors to a fight?  How about forming a crew to go slay some dragons?  Both are possible on Eternal Relics’ highly interactive platform.

Open exploration - Our game’s Four Kingdoms each possess their own unique culture, history, creatures, and unique geography to explore - and all have secrets to uncover.

Central City - This group interaction features allows player to live and interact with other players in real time while receive campaign and bonus quests.

Combat moves - Just a few of the epic moves players have at their disposal are the Dragon Punch (type: single target), Ground Breaker (AOE), and Cyclone Strike (transposition).

Spells - Hone your spell-casting skills by learning the Chaos Beam (element: fire), Deadly Vines (earth), Lightning Bolt (air), and many more.

MMORPGs and casual games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms are what we do here at GameNotOver.  Since first conceptualizing Eternal Relics in 2014, we’ve been hard at work planning, researching, and performing initial development - culminating in getting our prototype underway earlier this year.  The hard work will continue in full force; but first, let’s take a look back at some of our more impressive accomplishments along the way:

Key research completed.  We hired a respected 3rd party consulting firm to perform valuable market research, uncovering exactly what people want in an MMORPG game.  An exhaustive list of desired features has been built, and will be implemented into development as we see fit.

Building a social presence.  Over 7,000 followers are currently gracing our Facebook fan page, and we appreciate every one of them.  We’re also hearing some very positive feedback from the respected gamers we’ve shown our progress to.

Attracting influencers.  Influencer marketing is huge in gaming, and we want as many influencers on board as possible before Eternal Relics launches.  We’ve started building relationships, and have a number of key influencers highly interested already, including: FG3000, Heiny Reimes, TheHiveLeader, ESneaks, and more.

Supply chain coming together.  If accelerated production is called for, we’re covered.  We’ve put together a list of formidable outsourcing companies that we can call upon if need be.

The majority of our current focus is on Eternal Relics; however, with MMORPGs being such huge undertakings (4-5 years and a large development budget), we have other concepts in the planning stage too.  These games require far less production time (3-6 months) and are easier to launch on various platforms, most notably mobile devices.  Successful release of these concepts will be key to the ongoing optimization of Eternal Relics.  With Eternarl Relics, Forge Your Destiny will be the first expansion. We have 2 more expansions planned for Eternal Relics at a later stage, which will keep the gamers engaged and fuel with new + exciting content. Please contact us for more information on these games!
