Baroque CD Project

I am a twenty-year-old classical soprano beginning my career. I love baroque music and am trying to raise money to record my first CD. It's difficult to find institutional support for young classical musicians these days, so I'm going to try to raise the $650 I will need by pre-selling the CD. (If I get $400 in pre-orders, I will be able to afford the rest.) Please pre-order to support a dedicated, independent musician as she works to start a career and finish a college degree.

The CD will include about 18 arias (a couple of tracks are still under consideration) from the Parisotti collection, a beautiful collection of arias from the 16th-18th centuries compiled in the 19th century by musicologist Alessandro Parisotti. It will feature some of the more popular arias, such as Scarlatti's "Sento nel core" and "Son tutta duolo" and Paisiello's "Il mio ben quando verra." It will also feature less familiar selections such as Handel's "Ah! Mio cor, schernito sei," Vivaldi's "Un certo non so che," and Piccini's "Porro dunque mori...Se il ciel mi divide."
