a group of people are raising money for a cause.
Stoic Studios Recording Equiptment Fundraiser (Asbury)
Payment has been disbursed to the group leader.
My name is Aaron Asbury. I am a graduate of the Recording Workshop audio engineering program. I am working to build a project studio (Stoic Studios) in my house in order to work with up-and-coming local bands and provide them with high quality, low cost demos and albums. My short term goal is assemble enough of the basic mid-high range equiptment so I can begin recording projects. My long term goal is to work with local artists, build a reputation as a solid engineer, and use my contacts and reputation to advance my career as an engineer into producing, booking and promoting, and live sound.
Right now, my biggest barrier to entry is saving enough money to buy quality equiptment. I am hoping a fundraiser will help me to supplement my equiptment budget so I can add a tascam mixer/digital multi-track, pro-tools mbox2, AKG414/c1000, and a shure beta 52a/ksm9 to my inventory list. I currently have 3 guitars, 2 amps and a cab, a korg keyboard, a few mic stands and cables, 2 shure sm57s and an sm58, an EV cobalt9, at my disposal.
If you can help, I urge you to donate. I will accept any donation, whether made via fundable.org, paypal, or sent to my address.
My goal is to raise $1000 dollars minumum, but I could use a lot more if I am able to raise more money, so I am creating the fundraiser to continue accepting pledges even after the goal is reached. All of the fundraiser proceeds will be combined with my own equiptment fund and spent frugally on recording equiptment, a business license, and promotional expenses (classified ads, business cards, website hosting), with each purchase itemized and accounted for.
All participating benefactors will recieve a personal handwritten thank you letter, as well as updates on the progress of my recording endeavors, and a copy of my first demo works.
Thank you so much for your consideration and time,
Aaron Asbury.
