Orphans Need Your Help
As many of you know, some very exciting things have been going on at the Sanctuary! On August 27, 2007 two black bear cubs arrived at IEAS from Wyoming. These two youngsters were orphaned when their mother was shot in order to protect human life. The two cubs are now 8 ½ months old. They are living temporarily in our Quarantine area and have become quite comfortable in their new surroundings. The two cubs are enjoying life with their large tub for swimming, perches for napping on, and toys to play with. We have also cut down numerous tree trunks for them to climb and play on.
We would like to raise $1,000 to help cover the cost of food and toys for these two cubs. Your generous donation of $20 will help to feed these little guys for four days. As of right now, the cubs have several balls and tree branches that they enjoy playing with. The staff at IEAS has been doing a lot of research, and we have found some wonderful enrichment items that we think will entertain these young bears for years to come!
YOU CAN HELP! Your gift can help us to give these amazing animals a life full of the comfort and respect that they deserve. We will provide them with everything they need: the proper nutrition, a large, naturalistic habitat, and behavioral/emotional enrichment. We would like to thank you in advance for supporting the Sanctuary and our mission.
Sincerely,
