HBOT Treatments for my autistic son
Payment has been disbursed to the group leader.
My third child was born with his cord tied in a true knot. This caused oxygen deprivation during his birth. At three, he was diagnosed PDD-NOS, on the autism spectrum. Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy has been shown to improve 85% of children with autism during the first 40 dives in HBOT. Another 10% improve during the next 40 dives. Because of Sam's condition at birth, it is believed he will benefit greatly from HBOT. HBOT is performed under doctor supervision in our son's doctor's office in Worthington, OH. His doctor is an MD and has been trained in the Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) biomedical protocol. The HBOT treatments are given in 40 1-hour dives per session, and each hour costs $100. Thus, for his first set of 40 dives, we need to raise $4,000.00. Our insurance does not cover HBOT for the treatment of autism, though it would cover HBOT for carbon monoxide poisoning, burns, Cerebral Palsy...we are working on insurance coverage for autism at the state level, but it hasn't been passed by legislation yet. It is believed that the earlier you treat autism, the better the outcome. Sam is 10 years-old. All our miniscule sources of extra financial assistance have dried up with ABA therapy, his 40 supplements he takes per day, his doctor visits (which are also not covered by insurance), and his bloodwork, lab testing. We have also cashed in his college fund to help pay for his therapies and that, too, is gone. Now we are turning to you. The good-natured people of the world. If 4,000 people would donate just $1.00 (the price of sweet tea at McDonald's!), Sam would get his initial 40 dives and have the possibility of making marked improvement in cognition, language, social skills, and health. Our sweet boy is physically sick. We would like to do the treatments over his summer break because the dives have to be done over several days in a row. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and for any and all support you can give.
