Raleigh needs life saving surgery

Raleigh is a happy go lucky young brittany who landed in an Ohio shelter. He was mistakenly pulled by springer rescue who immediately realized their error and contacted us at National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network. Once we receive Raleigh it became appartent he had some medical issues. An exam determined he has a life threatening liver condition which if not corrected is going to kill him at a young age, in fact very soon. Raleigh needs to have surgery to repair a liver shunt. He has been seen at Tufts University and is a candidate to have the surgery needed to save his life. However this surgery will cost at least $3000 if there are no complications. If anything goes wrong during surgery, the cost may go as high as $7000. This is more than our rescue can absorb and continue to help other dogs in need. But Raleigh deserves a chance at a normal life. He's won over everyone who has had the privilege of meeting him with his sweet personality. We are currently trying to keep his condition stablized by diet and medication which will only help for a short time longer so this surgery is his only chance for a long normal life. He is currently scheduled to have his surgery May 22nd. Please help us help Raleigh. How adorable he looked for Easter! How can we not try to save him.
