Eye surgery for dumped kitten!
I have been feeding a colony of cats/kittens dumped at an abandoned barn south of town....while there feeding two weeks ago, I noticed a new kitten that had an awful-looking eye.....I immediately carried it to the vet and after a couple of days, the vet had to remove her eye. At the same time, he spayed her and gave her vaccinations. When I picked her up, the vet charge was $506.50. I am unable to keep her because my husband has severe allergies to cats and we live on a heavily traveled 4-lane highway and she would be killed if she stayed outside. I have spent the last two weeks trying desperately to find her a good home, and I HAVE! I will meet her in Jackson on Tuesday.
Now, I have the unpleasant task of BEGGING for financial help. Since I volunteer with a dog rescue, I was allowed to put this on their account at the vet with the promise that I would pay it.......I can pay some of this, but it is going to take me a long time....and I really don't want my husband to know I keep spending so much money on stray dogs/cats......it's just never ending.
This kitty has found a FANTASTIC home and will be well-taken care of......and has been spayed! If you're able to help "bail me out," I'd be very appreciative. And if you'd care to confirm the medical on this kitty, you can call Allen & Griffin Animal Hospital, 662-332-0592 and ask anyone there about the black kitten that was brought in by Linda Merideth that required its eye to be removed....at that time, I just named it the "Barn Kitty. I also ask that you make your check payable to them, marked "eye removal surgery for black barn kitty."
Thank you all very much for helping me help this kitten.
