This generation of young people has been called The Loneliest Generation. They’ve been referred to as Generation W (standing for “Whatever”). Generation H would be a more appropriate name. They are hurting. They’ve tried to conquer their pain by downing liquor, swallowing pills and cutting their skin. Some have resorted to ending the pain by taking their life.

It is a cry that, for the most part, has gone unheard within our society. Maybe because it’s misunderstood. Maybe because it’s uncomfortable. The reasons don’t matter. The issues matter. It’s the cry that matters.

Hope.
It is a message that needs to be given to a generation. Generation Hope. There is hope for people in pain. Hope is real.

It is the purpose of this documentary to present hope to young people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. To learn. To listen. To spark honest conversation about issues that are shrouded in silence. This documentary aspires to respond to a hurting cry with the message that rescue is possible.
