Help Buddy, a formerly chained dog who has been rescued!

Buddy has been taken off of his chain and has started a new life -- but his rescuer needs your help!

Many of you may remember Rebel, a chained abandoned dog, who was rescued by Dogs Deserve Better in November of 2006.

A little over a year later, rescuers in Delaware County Pennsylvania became aware of another chained dog in the same neighborhood. Upon visiting the dog, they realized they were right across the street from where Rebel had been rescued. Upon speaking with the family who had him, they came to find out that Buddy was Rebel's brother.

Poor Buddy was chained in the backyard, very scared and starved for affection. Rescuer's were horrified when they saw his living conditions and Sharon of Dogs Deserve Better took Buddy, with the guardian's permission, right then and there. Sharon had also fostered Rebel and was amazed at the resemblance of the brother's.

Sharon took Buddy home and reports that he is a total sweetheart. Exactly like his brother who is now in his forever home. Sharon's one dog does not like Buddy so she's having to keep them separated. Her other dog and Buddy are the best of friends. Buddy is great with other dogs (that like him- not so good with dogs who do not!) cats and people. He is a total lap dog!

Buddy has been to the vet, his shots have been updated, and he has been neutered. The vet has informed Sharon that Buddy has a very bad tooth and needs to have it pulled. The estimate for the tooth extraction is pretty high and more then Sharon is able to set aside. If folks can contribute to the tooth extraction, please contact Sharon at sndmd@hotmail.com.
