My Husband and I just recently got married and moved to Maryland. He just joined the military and we adopted out 1 and half year old pitbull kilo about 6 months ago. We rescued kilo from abusive owners and have retaught him how to be a sweet, loving, trusting animal. After moving we took him for routine vaccinations and found out that he had heartworm. In order to save his life it is going to cost us somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500 dollars. I am still working on getting my degree and have to pay for college and for a couple just starting out on our own this is a lot of money. We have managed to get together almost everything but 600 dollars and we are asking anyone to please help. Any contribution would help us even 50 dollars would help we just don't want to lose our dog.

I wish I could help you, geez. At the current time I am spending monies we don't really have on our older cat who has a kidney disease. I will send postive thoughts your way hoping that the right people read your post and give you the help you need and the help you pup deserves. Bless you....Jody

HI. I am so sorry to hear about your little guy. Have you tried Care Credit or Imom.org? Also, hopefully your clinic can work out a payment plan for you. Normally it would be pay as you go through treatment. Is it possible you can "volunteer" some of your time at the clinic to help alleviate the costs of treatment?
Your little guy is in my prayers.
