We have a small rural shelter that needs your help. The outdoor shelter does have a roof but the enclosures are so small that there is no room. If more than one dog has to be in a run, they have to stand in their own waste. There isn't room for two dogs, only 1 at a time but since it is so small they have to group them together. The dog houses take up most of the room and they need the dog houses in runs due to storms and blowing rain. IN the winter it is all they have to warm them. There is no electricity at this shelter. I just did a fund raiser to get stainless steel bowls and buckets that hang on the walls so the dogs can't turn them over. PLEASE HELP Us HELP THEM . If every dog lover would send in whatever you can, we will make our goal and it wouldn't hurt any one person too much out of pocket. That is all it takes. One person at a time can make a difference in the lives of these dogs. We don't need a fancy shelter, just one to protect the dogs from the biting flies, mosquitoes that carry heart worms, severe heat and blowing cold. A bigger facility to hold more than 5 dogs( that is all we can hold nowunless we double up) and a room to keep the sick from the healthy would help. Please consider us as a project in the making. We need you and you will be benefiting so many with your donation. I can furnish references if needed. I have been in rescue for 30 years now while in TX, TN and now back to MO. The city has no money for the dogs. This is a small town of 1500 people. We are in New Madrid County which is considered one of the poorest counties. Please open your wallets and hearts to help us provide better living conditions for the dogs till they are adopted or placed in Rescue Org's. Most of these dogs either have HEARTWORMS OR GET THEM WHILE CONFINED . WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO TREAT THEM. WE HAVE NO FUNDS TO DO SO AT THIS TIME. WE WILL TAKE DONATIONS FOR HEART WORM TREATMENT ALSO.
