We are a two person team, who started rescuing animals which otherwise were left abandoned to die alone. We are licensed through the State of Georgia Department of Agriculture. We go to high kill shelters and rescue animals just before they are due to be euthanized; we try to give any potential adopter the option to save a life first. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals who otherwise would have been given an untimely death. All of our rescued animals are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-chip & heart worm regimen prior to adoption. We do not operate a "shelter". We rescue into a home environment. Our goal is to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia! Did you know the average hold time for an animal in Georgia's high kill shelters is only 3 to 7 days? Please adopt! Do NOT buy!
I also want to note, even though we are a rescue, we do not accept any and all animals. Our primary objective is to rescue from high kill shelters in Georgia.

We are currently trying to add more necessities to better our rescued
animals. With every new dog we take in, we are purchasing a run at the
cost of $230 each, plus roofing, which is running us about $80 for all
the supplies. With the scorching Georgia heat we've had to purchase
industrial fans to run and blow air on our HOT Rotties during the day.
These are $79.99 at Home Depot. We'd love to purchase more, but for now,
we're rotating them on our seniors who tend to mind the heat more so
than others. These combined with the intake costs of vetting are quickly
depleting our monetary funds. Last month alone our electrical bill was
$303, running central air for the indoor rescues and the fans outside
for the kennels. We ONLY use donated funds to help save the lives of
animals who otherwise would have been discarded. While our focus is and
always has been to pull animals from death row in Georgia, we are also
becoming overwhelmed with owner surrenders as the cost of caring for a
pet has risen dramatically. Please allow us to further our future
endeavors and help our furbabies.

I hope everyone can support these ladies and their rescue - every little bit helps! I got one of my own precious pups, Bindy, from them and she has been the best dog I have ever brought home! She and my Shihtzu, Stitch, are the best buddies! Keep up the great work, ladies!

I wish I could give more than $30, as I have two Rotties, Pavlov & Nadia, 8 & 4 respectively. They are so smart! and like everyone they meet. In the state of WA they like to lay against the concrete foundation in what I refer to as their "dirt den". Oh well, they're happy, sleep in my room every night. Take both verbal and hand commands, always with a smile and a treat at the end. I can't think of a nicer and more secure dog within it's personality. Nadia wants to always be with MaMa, Pavlov can take us or leave us - he essentially raised Nadia from a young pup, when she was really a pain, and never once bit her (and she deserved a nip or two!) The minute I go outside he rolls on his back for a tummy rub. I wish I could tell more people about these incredibly smart dogs who are used as police dogs, search for people, cadavers, drugs, are part of the Delta dog group for hospital visits. Yes, they are protective of their family and home, but most dogs are and they do it with dignity and also WITHOUT endless barking! Best of luck in your funding, Pam Gerla - Everett, WA

I came home from work one day in 12/07 to find a stray Rottie just laying by my gate, seemingly waiting for me to come home. A friend and I got her vetted and started searching for a rescue group to take in "Petunia" (I couldn't keep her due to a house already full of basset hounds). I searched all over the internet and didn't have much luck, that is until Holly wrote me and said Rural Georgia Rottie Animal Rescue would be happy to take in our sweet Petunia and find her a home. I was lucky enough to find her a loving adoptive home closer to me (I am in Houston), but I will never forget Holly and her rescue's generous offer. They were there for Petunia when she needed help, and it is in her honor that I support this wonderful group with my donation.

Best of luck to a wonderful group!
