In honor of Charlie (and several others), an abused and abdoned dog found in the Lake Traverse, SD area we are hoping to raise funds to provide a subscription of KIND news to the elementary age children there. The schools we would be sponsoring are Tiospa Zina Tribal School, Agency Village and West Side Elementary School, Sisseton. Visit http://www.humanesocietyyouth.org to learn more about KIND news. We are hoping that by reaching the hearts of the children we can change what is happening at the hands of adults. -- It costs $30 per 28 children to provide this publication --- Charlie was neglected, then beaten, possibly dragged by a car, shot, his elbow broken, teeth broken, and the skin peeled back from his eye to his ear. This kind of violence and disregard for an animal takes years to grow in a person. We hope to reach the children in this area and change the path they may choose to take when it comes to living things.
