The Pitch

Growth Education fills a void for non-credit Community Education Centers most of whom, due to continuing budget cuts, have little capital to invest in the rapidly growing market for online education. 

Growth Education accomplishs this by supplying a turnkey online program - including a custom-branded website, course catalogs, a registration system, over 275 online instructor-led courses and an online payment method, all at no cost to the institution.  Within a very short period of time – often as little as 1 hour – Growth Education can cleanly and efficiently register a Community Education Center and have them in a position to earn additional revenue by offering online instructor-led courses.

What We Do

Growth Education offers Community Colleges and Community Continuing Education Centers a custom branded website, course catalogs, registration system and payment method for online Instructor-Led courses at no cost to the Community Education Center. Offering more than 275 courses a partner institution can begin offering courses in less than 1 hour on topics like:

How We're Different

As an instantly accessible provider of online courses we have the ability to provide an online education space for any partner within 1 hour. Our Revenue sharing strategy allows partners to get started for FREE and provides a win-win for all involved since our goals are aligned with our partners, the growth of their student enrollments. Since there is no initial expenses for an institution to get established there is much less resistance in the sales cycle. With educational funding being cut institutions are always looking for incremental Revenue sources without adding expenses. Our Instructor-Led courses are the solution to their problems.

Team

John Mooney - CEO

Extensive business management from start-ups to multi-million dollar in various industries. 


John has an extensive background in business operations, small business acquisitions and building and managing start-ups. Prior to functioning as CEO of Growth Education LLC, John founded Arch Promotion in 2007, a promotional products company. After spearheading the profitable growth of that company he sold it in 2013 to a private investment firm. Before Arch Promotion, John acquired and became CEO of A La Carte Research, a marketing research firm that specialized in focus groups. He was responsible for expanding the firm from a single location to multiple locations, initiated the first online focus group broadcasts and was a pioneer in online market research. He sold A La Carte Research in 2006 to a private investment firm. Early in his career John worked in marketing for the The Gruen Watch Company and subsequently for Jetro Cash & Carry in their corporate office in New York. At Jetro, he was responsible for helping to conceive, develop and manage their Food Base Co-Operative which, within 24 months, reached revenues in excess of $20,000,000. He followed his success at Jetro, by acquiring and then building a multi-million dollar newspaper distribution business which was taken over by the New York Times.


Marsha Fortney - VP, Course Development

Marsha has been a professional educator for over a decade and has over five years of experience in online education.  


Marsha has been a professional educator for over a decade and has over five years of experience in online education. She was a professor, faculty mentor, and advisor for Kaplan University and is a member of the Association for Advancement of Computers in Education (AACE). Her area of expertise is personal success strategies, including time management, career development, and academic skill building. Prior to working in the field of e-learning, Marsha worked as an academic counselor who specialized in providing support to students with learning disabilities and NCAA Division I athletes. Marsha earned a master’s degree in College Student Development from Bowling Green State University. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Growth Education contracts with a team of programmers and developers in order to reduce expenses and maximize programming development resources. Growth Education also contracts with a team of independent sales reps to market the company to Community Education Centers.
