Across the globe, the demand for clean drinking water is constantly growing, but new plant projects aimed at meeting the need are continually delayed or derailed as a result of insufficient capital to cover the ever-increasing cost of land, materials and labor.

Kcon specializes in the augmentation, upgrade, retrofit and revamp of existing water and waste water treatment plants to increase production, quality and reduce unnecessary spending.

Our innovative approach is made possible by the development of new technologies in recent years, all of which can be used to dramatically increase water treatment plant productivity.

In addition to retrofitting water plants with new technologies, our team is able to identify and eliminate other inefficencies or deficiencies encountered during the process, resulting in even further improvements and savings for our clients.

The heart of the Kcon innovation is a technology called "tube settler," which was first brought to India, developed and applied extensively by Kcon CEO Andy Kardile's grandfather in India many years ago.

Standard water treatment plants typically feature a clarifier, which settles particles from water during the purification process. By inserting a tube settler into the clarifier, we are able to increase the velocity at which the settling process occurs, so you can treat more water more quickly without the expense of building a completely new clarifier.

Kcon's innovative water treatment methods can be applied in a variety of contexts across the globe. Beneficiaries of our methods include:

Municipal water treatment facilities

Public and private utilities providers

Industrial water and waste water treatment across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, mining and steel

Kcon's technology is fully developed and has a proven track record of success stretching back over the past 20 years.

Our team has repeatedly demonstrated thought leadership in the water treatment space, having published numerous papers in respected conferences and journals, in addition to a “Manual on Augmentation and Upgradation of Water Treatment Plants” and a book, “Simple Methods in Water Purification.”

We recently won two prestigious augmentation projects totaling $2.2MM. One is for a subsidiary of Veolia and another one for a major municipal corporation.

Following are some of our direct and indirect clients:

Having established our experience and the efficacy of our methods in India and beyond, the time is right to expand our market reach into new areas and countries, including the United States, and become a leading provider of innovative water treatment solutions on a global scale.

The story of Kcon began in India many decades before the company was ever founded.

CEO Andy Kardile's grandfather lost his brother at a very young age as a result of drinking contaminated water.

The loss of his brother inspired a lifelong mission for Andy's grandfather to provide safe drinking water to the masses in India and beyond. As a public servant in the public works department, he forewent promotions in favor of continuing research, introducing numerous revolutionary technologies and innovations to the Indian water treatment industry, including the groundbreaking tube settler technology that is the heart of the Kcon solution.

Andy's grandfather preached the virtues of simplified water treatment technology, with emphasis on low operation and maintenance costs. It is from him that Kcon draws inspiration for our quest to achieve great things that will have a powerful positive impact on the world.

Grew up playing with tube settlers in his front yard. He has a unique perspective on business, one that looks at the fundamental economics of business rather than the sectors they come from. Andy earned his Bachelors from the College of Engineering Pune and his M.S. in finance from Florida International University. He has over 6 years of experience in finance, research, investment and joint ventures.

Earned his Bachelors in Civil Engineering from the College of Engineering Pune and has over 30 years of experience in the water and waste water treatment sector. Having published numerous papers and designed solutions for hundreds of water plants, he is a world-renowned authority in the field of water and waste water treatment.
