Never before have soccer fans been able to display their fandom in such a unique, stylish way.

For millions of fans—including 30 million purported supporters of Liverpool FC alone—it’s never been possible to don leather with the club logo, showing team spirit in impeccable style, like only leather can.

Mako Sports has made it possible with a breakthrough in embroidering technology. It’s a spectacular way to fans to show their love, and for clubs to capitalize on their most valuable asset: their logo.

Not one of those fans—30 million of them worldwide—can wear a leather jacket and show their team support at the same time. Why?

Embroidering leather is a long, tedious, frustrating and expensive process. It’s never been cost-effective for teams to market their logos on leather wear.

Until now. Mako Sports wants to give those millions of fans the ability to rock a team logo on one of the most stylish leather jackets on the market.

And we want to give those franchises a marketing opportunity that, until now, just wasn’t worth the trouble.

Mako Sports founder Douglas Ferguson spent years challenging that notion, learning the painstaking art of embroidery, the many temperaments, and the distinct personality of leather.

Finally, he devised a technological breakthrough that led to the creation of Mako Sports.

We’ve built several prototypes and tested them thoroughly, creating beautiful garments that can withstand wear and the elements, growing only more beautiful with age.

We’ve cut a 3 years licencing deal with Liverpool FC to bring these incredible garments to Liverpool’s 30 million fans all over the world. When the terms are finalized, our manufacturing partner is ready to roll out a minimum of 1,000 pieces a week.

Douglas worked for several years as a music teacher. He also formed a band called U-turn!, that entertained patrons in clubs and pubs across Australia, before relinquishing his role to become an entrepreneur. Douglas decided to develop and market a line of clothing with a unique — yet universal — appeal to football [soccer] fanatics.




Hammed built a successful career in the IT industry before broadening his expertise to new business setup and technological development with an eye towards enterprise architecture. He holds a double major degree in Software Engineering and Enterprise System Development from the University of Wollongong in Australia.
