Wompr is a better way to connect reputable businesses with customers. Our platform helps local businesses increase their customer base by leveraging loyalty programs and social media sharing to instantly generate buzz among the friends of existing customers. Customers are happy to have access to loyalty rewards and trustworthy reviews from their friends, while businesses are happy to have customers essentially handle their social media marketing.

Maintaining an online presence is time-consuming and costly for businesses. However, for a company to find new customers, it needs to be present on many social media channels. Not only that, it needs to be active and engage personally with its audience. The problem is all existing social media channels only allow for a company to talk to cold leads.

At the same time, customers struggle to find good businesses. When consumers are looking for a product or service, they go to websites like Yelp or Google to read reviews from complete strangers. Customers are left wondering if they can even trust the reviews, because there is no way of knowing if the reviewers are unpaid and sincere.

These two issues intersect to create one big problem. Businesses complain that they don’t have the time and resources to invest in online marketing, while customers struggle to find reputable and trustworthy businesses by reading reviews on Yelp and Google.

Wompr solves this problem by allowing companies reach their existing customers’ friends. It’s an easier way for businesses and customers to connect.

Wompr offers marketing services to businesses, while also integrating loyalty programs, social sharing, and business reviews on a single platform. Basically, our platform allows happy customers to share their experience with a business on social media, allowing all of their friends to see it.

There are four components to Wompr: (1) engagement, (2) rewards, (3) retention, and (4) growth.


Engagement – Our platform allows businesses to create customized campaigns. Businesses can decide how to ask – and reward – their customers for doing business with them and sharing their experience on social media.

 


Rewards – Wompr helps businesses reward customers for sharing their experiences with their friends on social media. Word-of-mouth is the most effective marketing method, and customers are doing just that with Wompr.

 


Retention – Our platform helps businesses keep customers by encouraging them to come back to collect points and redeem rewards. Every time a customer votes for a business, Wompr promotes that business to the customer’s social media friends. According to Facebook, that’s an average of 331 people.


Growth – Wompr gives businesses the potential to see many referrals and tap into the viral effect of social media. The best part is customers are doing the social media marketing for the business.

When a business joins Wompr, it selects the best campaign for its needs. Campaigns allow businesses to perform quick surveys and better understand the needs of their customers. Businesses can also design the rewards they are willing to offer to their customers as a thank you for sharing their experience. Businesses can also decide whether they want to allow customers to redeem their rewards instantly or after multiple taps.

For Customers

It’s even easier for customers. When a customer visits a business, they simply tap their phone and submit a review. After that, they can start to redeem rewards from the business.

Wompr creates a viral cycle.

Last year, CEO and Founder Nickolay (Nick) Kolev was having breakfast with his family at a new bistro. The owner told him that they wished there was a way to bring in more customers. Nick started thinking about current review platforms and how to improve upon them to help businesses attract new customers. Out of these musings, Wompr was born.

Since its inception, Wompr has reached some impressive milestones.

Positive Feedback – Wompr participated in an incubator program and received some very positive feedback. Marketing professionals were very excited about Wompr, while technology experts also felt positive about the future of the Company.

Live Product – Wompr is live and our team is in the process of acquiring customers. Right now, we have two test customers, A-Z Dental Care and Dry Fast General Contractors.

       

Potential Partnerships – The team has a connection in New York who owns his own digital firm. Through this connection, we plan to begin offering our services to dentists and orthodontists, and then add jewelry stores as a target.

In addition to our review platform, our team also plans to offer additional services in the future.

Nickolay (Nick) Kolev, CEO and Founder
Nick has more than 20 years of software engineering and team management experience. His background includes managing software engineers and coding for companies using commercial and open source technologies with C#, Java, and Ruby. Proficient in developing solutions that range from hyper-video to marketing and e-commerce, Nick is constantly looking for problems that can be solved by better software. The idea for Wompr came to him while he was having breakfast with his family at a new bistro that wanted to bring in more customers.

David McDonald, Web Director
After working as a teacher and freelance photography assistant in Paris, David moved back to Los Angeles in 2013. He hit the ground running when he discovered his aptitude for coding, and he quickly landed the role of front-end developer at American Apparel. In this role, he met Nick and hopped on board with Wompr. David has dynamic interests and areas of expertise, making him an asset to any team or conversation. He also travels extensively with his wife, and he enjoys experiencing different cultures and considering new ways of looking at the world.

Christo Samboliev, Art Director
Christo is an artist, animator, and award-winning director who has been working in the Los Angeles animation industry for more than 15 years. His body of work includes popular TV shows like Curious George, Penguins of Madagascar, Rugrats, and currently Hail King Julien on Netflix. Christo has been awarded a Primetime Emmy Award, a Daytime Emmy Award, and numerous Emmy and Annie nominations for his work. Christo likes to stay active, thriving on sports and spending time outdoors.

 

Anthony Miller, Advisor
Anthony is the founder and Creative Director of millermedia7, with a vast knowledge of leading actionable and intimate digital experiences for brands. He acts as a steward to many, and is constantly leveraging new media to further millermedia7’s goals and mission. Anthony also has an interest in the arts, and has been known to act in film and other digital productions. A longtime member of the National Resource Defense Council, Anthony believes in sustaining the world through conservation and technology.
