What we do

Time is money!  We have all heard it.  It's true in all facets of life.  Time is also, well, time!  You cannot get it back, so why waste it doing things that others can do for you?  We are dedicated to helping you live your lifestyle, your way, by allowing us to handle the necessary, but time consuming items that allow you to have more time to focus on & enjoy life! Not just for the elite wealthy, we can be of service to anyone with a busy lifestyle trying to balance work with relaxation.

     

How We're Different

The one major difference that separates A Step Above Concierge from the relatively few other concierge type companies in existence is that we cater to anyone who considers their time valuable, not just ultra-wealthy or celebrity clientele.  While that demographic of client is part of the clientele base, we structured our services to tailor to those items that take a considerable amount of time and involvement, thus bringing down the costs and making our concierge services more affordable and available to a wider range of clients. We also do not offer the more "personal" type of services such as grocery shopping, house cleaning, errand running, paperwork organization, bill paying, etc. that several of the other concierge services offer that requires more personnel thus increasing costs and overhead.  Our research, along with discussions with both personal contacts and former business associates, indicated that those were considered items that would be handled by a maid service, a spouse, or themselves rather than an outside service.  We also will sign a confidentiality agreement with all of our clients, regardless of societal status, along with the service contract to ensure our client's privacy since we will not "name drop" to gain clientele.  We will let our incredible service and the relationships we build speak for themselves!

Where were going

Even with our marketing efforts having just started, our company is already gaining notoriety.  However, we have a very rare opportunity to place ourselves in front of major media exposure and A-List celebrities that will catapult the company into a heavily recognizable brand very quickly.  We have been given the opportunity to sponsor and showcase our service at several private celebrity & media pre-award ceremony events.  These include private events prior to the MTV Music Video Awards in Brooklyn, NY, and the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, CA to name a few.

Marketing, Referral Commission Program & Partners

A Step Above Concierge is looking to maximize its exposure with word of mouth referrals from clients & non-clients alike. And because we believe in rewarding those who help us grow, we have created a referral commission program! Anyone who refers a client that signs a 1-yr contract, will get a $500 referral commission check. There is no limit to the amount of referral commissions that can be earned!

Marketing and strategic partnering is occuring thru several distinct channels including online sourcing, selected magazine & online magazines, cross-advertising with relevant brands and products, pre-selected relevant events, and PR/media outlets & organizations. Both of the founders have significant connections to many of the principals within these companies.

     

     

       

 

There will also be several promotions with discounts and other offerings to entice clients to sign, such as a reduced price 3 month "Try It & Like It" promotion and offering a pre-determined credit toward the clients' first ticket or event purchase made with our service.

Matt McClain - Founder & CEO

 


Matt McClain has almost twenty years of business & management experience included on his resume. Currently, he is a licensed real estate agent with a decade in the business & also an owner/partner in a multi-media business. Matt attained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management & Marketing from a California State University in 1995. His extensive work resume includes working at the corporate offices of one of the largest home improvement companies in the world as one of the youngest Merchandising Managers ever hired, working for a dot com startup in 1999 as a Director of Marketing, and having owned previous companies involved with product marketing, cross-promotional opportunities, and celebrity product placement and representation.


Brad Stewart - Co-Founder & Managing Director

 


Brad Stewart has extensive operations management experience in the healthcare field. Currently, he is in integrations & project management for a very large healthcare company. He received his MBA from Azusa Pacific University in 2009 with an emphasis on Human Resources and Organizational Development. He has had considerable amounts of training in team building and leadership development on multiple levels. He also received his Masters of Social Work in 1997 from a California State University. He consistently provides the highest level of service and quality in all business ventures he is involved with. Brad has also worked alongside Matt in other business ventures, adding tremendous value to their great working relationship and building on their life-long friendship of almost 25 years.
