Quick Pitch

The tastes of the American public have been shifting from lagers that thrived post-prohibition to full flavored craft ales. This movement has resulted in a 12% annual growth in the volume of craft beer production and a 15% annual growth in sales for the past several years.  Beer drinkers are craving new and different choices, and they are searching for bars/pubs with an atmosphere that encourages them to stay, drink, and come back often.

American Brewing Company has been providing high quality, full flavored craft beers through our award winning brewery and brewing team for the past two years.  In those two years of business, we have established a big following for our unique beers and have built a reputation as a dependable and affordable manufacturing and distributing business of craft beer and ales.

We will not only manufacture and distribute beer, we will provide beer lovers and enthusiasts the basis for celebratory events and make parties FUN.

What Makes Us Different

American Brewing Company will differentiate itself by offering superior quality beer, more variety than any of the closest competitors, quality that is otherwise unavailable in the area, competitive pricing and greater value for cost.

We will steadily improve operational efficiency, increase market share, revenue and profits, and exceed the goals we have set to grow our business.

We will offer our target customers, who desire a full-flavored, unique, high-quality tasting beer, an affordable and unique opportunity to obtain our products.

We will always deliver a better and more personalized offering to our customers than any other company in our market. There is no company in the area like us, because we are the only business providing beer brewed in the old German style; using only water, hops, barely and yeast; to create an enjoyable taste experience. Our value proposition will emphasize the opportunities we provide:

to meet people

to enhance the quality of manufacturing and distributing of craft beer products in the community

to give people the tastes they want in a beer

Flying Monkey: Our Latest Brewing Success

We just brewed the official beer of the 2013 Emerald City Comicon. They like to play off of the Wizzard of Oz theme and they named the beer Flying Monkey Dogfight Pale Ale. They also had a comic artist design the label which is a monkey as an aviator with a cigar in his mouth.

Given the very cool label design, this beer have actually lived up to its hype with our actual sales and sales forecast for the month of February.

February Distributor sales requests:

  • 665 cases
  • 107 - 1/2bbls
  • 92 - 1/6bbls

February Distributor sales actual:

  • 36 - 1/6bbls

2012 Top West Coast IPA by Beer West Magazine
This American Style India Pale Ale is a true Northwest IPA; a big, bold hop aroma with floral and citrus notes greets you.  Its dark honey color is a bit hazy due to dry hopping.  There is a medium intense hop bitterness that doesn't linger and is well balanced with a citrusy (grapefruit), malty sweetness. Your senses score big time with this ale!
ABV: 7.2%   IBU: 90

This Blonde Ale is a golden straw color.  It has delicate hop notes and a citrusy aroma; a crisp and dry palate with a touch of sweetness and low bitterness.  Higher carbonation adds to the overall experience, light in body and very refreshing, a real thirst quenching beer.  There is enough full-bodied flavor to satisfy those who want a well balanced blonde ale.  This blonde is a real beauty!
ABV: 4.5%  IBU: 16

This Oatmeal Stout is dark brown to almost black in color with a rich cream colored head.  It has a pleasant, full-bodied, smooth profile with an aromatic blend of coffee, oats, and roasted malts.  Savor the long, rich finish that tempts you with just a subtle hint of dark chocolate.  This oatmeal stout is something great to behold, enjoy!
ABV: 7.0%  IBU: 30

This Scotch Ale is a smooth, malty sweet treat! Visually, it has a beautiful clear coppery red color.  You will enjoy the rich mouthfeel of the ale which allows the malty flavors to linger on your tongue.  A subtle hint of the Peat Malt and Roasted Barley add some deeper complexities to its flavor.  The overall hop characters are very low, which highlights its malty sweetness.
                                 ABV:  6.0%    IBU 32

An American Brown Ale that is an exceptional choice for the Northwest craft beer drinker.  This deep coppery brown ale has a toasty caramel flavor with an evident, but not overpowering, hop aroma.  There is a well balanced bitterness that doesn't linger, but transitions to a very clean finish with just a subtle hint of citrus from dry hopping.  A perfect ale for year round enjoyment!
ABV: 6.5%  IBU: 65

A Strong Ale that is dark chocolate brown to almost black in color.  Eight specialty malts contribute to its full bodied sweetness.  Piney flavors and aroma from the hops balance out the sweetness and chocolate malt flavors.  A longer aging process contributes to the deep richness of this ale.

Other Substantial Traction

American Brewing Company has been established for two years and has built a reputation as a dependable and affordable manufacturing and distributing business of craft beer and ales. We have become the the fastest growing start up brewery in WA state history.

Meet The Brewmeister

His name is Skip.

Skip Madsen holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Montana - his home state.  He owned and operated a business there until moving to Colorado.  It was Colorado that truly inspired Skip to begin his brewing adventure and skilled craft. He later moved to Seattle,Washington in 1995, to help a young brewery get its start. He now brews in Edmonds, Washington and reclines nearby at his home in Port Townsend.

Skip is the father of more than 200 beers.

Skip Madsen has been brewing beers since 1992.  He crafted his first beers at HC Beger Brewing Company in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Upon moving to Seattle, his beers gained recognition and awards at Pike Brewing Company and Big Time Brewery. He moved an hour north to Bellingham's Boundary Bay Brewing Company where he specialized in award winning ales and lagers. After six years, he moved to Port Townsend, WA and became part-owner and brew master for Waterstreet Brewing and Ale House creating even more award-winning and acclaimed brews. Today, he crafts world class beers like the increasingly popular Breakaway IPA and several all-new styles for the American Brewing Company.

He believes there is a beer for everybody.

His passion for creating the best beer for the right person got its roots during his time serving as a bartender in a 20 tap ale house in Colorado.  He always loved watching people get enjoyment from drinking their beer.  As a bartender, he got to be involved in the matching process of palate to brew.  As the brewer, he creates the character of the beer with the preferences of the people in mind. He savors the variety and excites at the challenge of crafting a beer even non-beer drinkers will favor.

He stops at nothing to produce the highest quality "World Class Beer".

Skip will throw out a beer if it does not meet his ultimate standards.  He will stay up night after night nurturing  his latest masterpiece to perfection.  For Skip, the beer that crosses your lips must be more than great - it will be world-class.

Thirty distinct awards hang in his office.

Including... 10 Gold Medals, 12 Silver Medals, 1 People's Choice Medal and 7 Bronze Medals from major beer festivals.

Skip's beer is unique and full of character.

Skip finds consistent "to-the-recipe" brews boring. He strives to maintain the expectation of taste for the consumer, but allows the temperament of the ingredients to naturally react and creates flavor anew with each brew.
