Amkada will open a new, full-service holiday resort near Lake Tisza in eastern Hungary. Bungalows, wellness facilities, a restaurant and shop will offer guests a premier vacation experience. The resort will also organize cultural trips for guests and visitors.
The small city has fewer than 4,000 inhabitants, offering a quaint setting, while there are larger cities fewer than 50 miles away. Day-trip opportunities abound, with Budapest, thermal springs, famous local horsemen, and wine country all within driving distance.
The Amkada kft resort will expand the available accommodations in the city, attracting more tourists to visit. The local economy will benefit, and the tourism industry will thrive.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Since moving to Abádszalók from Belgium, we have owned a restaurant in town for three years. We have long had a goal of owning a resort, and running the restaurant has taught us a lot about the town, the people and the region.
We have determined the location for the resort and will be meeting with the town mayor to get approval from the city.
We have a clear pipeline for staffing our resort, as there is a school in town that focuses on hospitality.
We have been interviewed by Forbes Magazine Hungary and on local TV, concerning being the first non-Hungarian entrepreneurs in the area.
MEET THE TEAM
Guy van Gorp, co-founder, general manager and CFO. Van Gorp has been a certified hotel/restaurant manager for 15 years. Van Gorp has five years of experience in human resources management and a degree in management.
Cindy Hulselmans, co-founder and human resources manager. Hulselmans has an incredible gift for organization and leading a team to finish a job in the most effective ways.
Mirjam Sluiter, currently certified marketing manager for the Western European market in a large Hungarian company. She will join our team as soon as constructions start.
Jozsef Buru, currently head of maintenance in a large Hungarian company. He will guide the execution of all construction works and after opening, take responsibility for maintenance.
