beetnik foods:
fast facts

Say hello to Beetnik Foods: the company that’s changing the way we eat clean and organic meals. Beetnik writes its own recipes and packs its own product for fresh, ready-to-eat organic meals that are sold at major grocery chains throughout the United States.

Beetnik’s meals are organic, gluten-free, Paleo-certified, Whole 30-compliant and Keto-friendly. This is the future of clean and healthy eating.

solving the
supply problem

Beetnik Foods was founded to directly address a problem in the organic foods industry.

Shoppers looking for clean, organic, and ready-to-eat meals were wandering the aisles of grocery stores only to find nothing tailored to their lifestyle, or, those products available were in short supply.

Innovation in this category has been slow-moving despite growth in the organic food market, and major food companies are not focused on serving this category.

Beetnik Foods is uniquely positioned to solve that problem.

a clean, healthy
way forward

streamlined and sensible

USDA co-packers are reluctant to enter the organics market because it requires them to have two (2) supply chains, and additionally, to segregate organic and non-organic ingredients in their facilities.

OUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE:
We offer USDA-certified products that appeal to a variety of shoppers looking for different flavor profiles, some more mainstream and others more sophisticated. We’ve received feedback from large retailers that we have loyal, repeat customers.

fueled for the future

the brains

David Perkins, FOUNDER & CEO
David started Beetnik Foods as a family business after one of his children developed serious food allergies. When looking for organic, ready-to-eat meals in his local grocery store, David couldn’t find what he needed – and the idea for Beetnik was born to help busy families.

David is the co-founder of White Glove Technologies, an IT consulting firm that was sold to Best Buy in 2012 for $20-plus million. He’s also a former SVP and GM of a business unit at Freescale Semiconductor, the co-founder and CEO of Metrowerks that was sold to Motorola for $98 million and he was a partner at Coopers & Lybrand.

Christi Lowin, DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Christi leads all marketing initiatives for Beetnik Foods, including but not limited to brand positioning, packaging, digital marketing, media, and trade and consumer advertising. Prior to joining Beetnik, Christi was Director of Marketing for Dell, a National Brand Manager for Dr. Pepper, and Brand Manager for a European Beverage Company. She earned her MBA from Columbia University.

Meaghan Perkins, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Meghan is at the helm of our machine at Beetnik Foods.
As the company’s Director of Operations, she oversees our sourcing and logistics efforts as well as production planning. Meaghan is experienced in the operations field, and previously served as National Research Manager at Change To Win. She holds degrees in international affairs (undergraduate) and mathematics (graduate). Fun fact: Meaghan is multilingual!

Israel Jaimes, DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTIONS
We needed an experienced, knowledgeable person to lead our production efforts, which led us to Israel. He has spent the majority of his 20-plus year career in the food industry, and at Beetnik, Israel has made important improvements to our techniques and processes on the production side of the business. Israel’s wife, Liliana, serves as our Director of Food Safety and Quality.
