We love coffee, we love our loyal customers, but most of all we love Columbus, Ohio. Café Brioso and Brioso Coffee are committed to growing Columbus through growing its own business, helping other local business strengthen their brands and helping local community organizations reach their goals. This is where you come in! We need your help to raise a small portion of the funds to make our new concept successful. A second location, Brioso Coffee, will be located in the up and coming Discovery District and will partner with local businesses to develop coffee roasts that are unique to each individual business. Don't worry! Café Brioso will still be located on Gay St. and High and will continue to offer the same high quality coffee you expect.

Café Brioso is part of a highly underrated, but growing coffee culture located in  Columbus, Ohio and part of the Third Wave nationally. We are passionate about offering our customers the best taste experience by utilizing the highest quality ingredients, following carefully developed and handcrafted preparation guidelines. Café Brioso is not only a place where the business class can escape the pressures of work, but serves it also as a cultural hub for cyclists, commuters and those enjoying the bustling Gay Street corridor downtown through events such as the Moonlight Market, Urban Scrawl, Pinchflat, Independents Festival and more.

Café Brioso has established a core group of repeat customers by focusing on pouring the highest quality cups, but seeks to expand by growing through business to business sales. The creation of a new and unique concept that is focused on customer specific roasting, known as Brioso Coffee, is set to launch in Winter 2014/2015. Brioso Coffee will be located at Long and 6th in the heart of the rapidly developing Discovery District in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

The new location will feature an open floor plan designed to engage customers in the coffee creation process and will feature a viewable roasting area, experimental coffee laboratory and an open cupping station. The space will be designed to seat up to 50 patrons and will immerse customers in the bean to cup process.

The Starfish Alliance has served central Ohio foster youth for more than a decade through group and one-to-one mentoring. The organization has been recognized for its service to foster youth: 2004 Franklin County Children Services Executive Director's Award for Voluntary Service; 2009 Franklin County Children Services Community Advocate Award; 2012 National Center for Adoption Law and Policy Champion Award. Starfish Alliance is home to a continuum of services for foster youth and alumni.

LINK22 is a new mentor, community resource and career connection catalyst for foster alumni, ages 18-26. Foster alumni who participate in the Columbus Social Entrepreneur Launchpad will be part of the LINK22 Fellowship. Through the Fellowship, each alumni: 1) will be matched with a community leader mentor; 2) will set and report on life and career goals with an advisor and peers biweekly; 3) will engage in leadership, citizenship, career and enrichment seminars; 4) will work toward career certification in a high demand field; and 5) will be matched with an apprenticeship in Columbus’ highest demand career fields. LINK22 also works to connect foster alumni with essential community resources, such as housing, transportation, clothing, housing items and childcare.

Café Brioso heavily supports local cycling community by offering a cyclist friendly haven in the downtown area. It also supports local bicycle racing initiatives that include Cap City Cyclocross, the Franklinton Criterium and Team 614 as well as sponsoring local riders on with its own amateur cycling team, Cap City/Brioso Coffee Cycling.

Brioso Coffee Preview Launch Party
Get your pass to the Brioso Coffee Preview Launch Party and be the first to experience Columbus' Brioso Coffee in their new location. The party is tentatively scheduled for Winter 2014/2015, but will be dependent on permits and construction. As soon as we have an exact date we will email all those who have donated. At the Brioso Coffee Preview Party you will get the first look at the new Discovery District space, be the first to taste coffee created from the new Giesen roaster, interact with owner Jeff Davis and experience the revitalization of downtown Columbus.

VIP Level Donors - $100 or more
The VIP level donors will be granted access to the new space one hour prior to the main Preview Launch Party. During this hour, VIP's will experience a very exclusive tasting and receive a half pound of beans of Colombia 'Margaritas' Gesha.

Brioso Coffee Kit, Ride and Coffee
Donors at this level will receive a Brioso Coffee cycling kit (bibs, jersey and hat) and join Jeff Davis on a 40-60 mile spring ride followed by a coffee tasting at the new space.

Note: The ride will take place after the Preview Launch Party when the weather is warmer. The ride will accommodate all fitness levels and will have an A and B group. The route and date of the ride will be determined in the spring and you will be notified via email.

Roast Master's Coffee of the Month
Our Roast Master will select a pound of their favorite coffee for you every month for a year. Coffee can be picked up monthly at Café Brioso at your convenience when you are stopping in to get your daily espresso fix or shipped to your door step.

If chosing the shipping method we ask that patrons be prepared to cover shipping costs. (Annual subscription to Roast Masters Coffee of the Month valued at $250).

Classes and Private Events
All classes/presentations will occur in the Brioso Coffee laboratory, event appearances (in-home/event appearances) and the private catered party will be scheduled after the Brioso Coffee Preview Party. To schedule an in-home/event appearance please contact Jeff Davis: jeffd@cafebrioso.com
