Echo Ridge: Fast facts

While working as a chief strategist for a Silicon Valley startup, Jeff Allan became obsessed with legislative and regulatory policy, its impact on investors and the potential of prediction.

Allan founded Echo Ridge in 2018. Combining powerful AI with predictive analytics, we help hedge funds and institutional investors beat the market and increase their earnings.

Investors need foresight

According to the old saying,
“Hindsight is 20/20.”
That’s no help to investors. What investors need is foresight — or a crystal ball.

From introducing new regulations that stifle innovation to completely deregulating a sector, there’s no doubt that regulatory events have a tremendous impact — both positive and negative — on the market.

Without access to foresight or predictive abilities, investors miss out on winning strategies, like investing in companies that are positively impacted, unloading shares before prices drop or short-selling.

These regulatory events come with little advance notice. Investors may only have 48 hours, perhaps a week at most, to react to a major change. The financial impact is tremendous.

Look at the results of one recent regulatory change in California. The top six players in the gig economy space lost $1 billion in just 10 days. Short-sellers made $247 million in two days, but with some advance notice, they could’ve doubled that amount.

The Echo Ridge crystal ball

Echo Ridge has the power of foresight.

Investors transform this precision and advance knowledge into actionable intelligence, protecting positions and maximizing returns.

Echo Ridge provides investors with access to predicative, future-based analytics. Like a crystal ball, but more accurate

Looking into the future

Magicians never reveal their secrets. While we’re not exactly magicians at Echo Ridge, we’re still not willing to unveil the tech that makes our patent-pending solution tick. But we’re glad to share what makes our product so powerful for investors.

Our core tech is a recurrent neural network that relies on unsupervised learning to predict:

  • What legislative and regulatory issues will pass or fail.
  • How the lifecycle will play out, including timeline, committees and people involved.
  • What sectors and companies will be impacted, either positively or negatively.

The accurate, accessible data output comes in two formats:

  • A self-service SaaS platform that allows more sophisticated users to create their own output queries.
  • A curated reporting product, categorized by the 11 S&P industry sectors. This information is similar to reports from Moody’s, Bloomberg or S&P.

The results are like a hybrid of industry reports combined with the data trends provided by industry specialists.
