Hodson has expanded to the United States to take advantage of the compelling investment opportunity in the Ground Mount solar and storage space.

The US solar market reached an installed base of 85 GW in Q2-2020 from 2010. It is expected to grow from 85GW (2020) to 200 GW (2025).

Achieving a renewable capacity of additional 100GW of electricity supply for US, would require around $20 billion a year until 2025.

At the same time, the battery storage market increased over 20-fold from 59 MW to 1,236 GWh in 2018 with 90% supplied by lithium-ion chemistries.

Hodson addresses both of these problems by including investors and solar expertise.

We use investor capital to cover the large CAPEX charges while using its in-house solar designing and engineering expertise.

This results in clients receiving cheaper energy than the grid with a sufficient spread to repay investors and make a profit.

• The competitiveness of project sites (i.e. unproductive agricultural land, proximity to IC point)
• Interconnection feasibility (available capacity i.e. MWs) to power grid lines (required for distribution of power to Utility rate payers) from solar project

• Permitting risks
• Environmental and wetland studie

SSA - Major Problem

The environment needs us take notice of what's going in the world. And we are. We are rising up. We are becoming more environmentally aware.

At the same time, access to cheaper and cleaner energy sources is expanding.

Unfortunately, much of Africa lacks energy connectivity (or suffers from either expensive or unstable electricity).

In many areas, solar is now a cheaper option compared to the grid. The only thing holding businesses back are the large upfront CAPEX costs and the solar implementation expertise.

• Experience at Goldman Sachs, NRG, 8minutenergy and others, with a focus on project finance, development and due diligence
• Successfully launched a solar development company in India, which has completed a number of rooftop assets
• Recently expanded the business in Sub Saharan Africa
• Previously a geophysicist at Oilfield services co. Schlumberger

Built and developed high performing engineering teams. Deep understanding of projects cost structures and revenue streams. Nirmal Pandya

• Nirmal has 6 years of experience in the Solar Energy industry as project manager and with +3 of project management experience. Writing RFPs for EPCs, accessing site surveys, budgeting, scheduling, purchasing, contract negotiation, construction management, and permitting. OSHA30 Certified.
• Project Management and Engineering experience at Primoris Renewable Energy, SunPower, FirstSolar, 8minutenergy.
• Master’s Degree in Solar Energy Engineering and Commercialization.

• 30+ years working in a spectrum of emerging and developed markets in various infrastructure-related industries including transport, mining, energy and cement
• In energy sector as Business Development Director (SSA) Garanti Koza Energy and Project Development Leader GE Global Growth & Operations (SSA), Bhandari developed a range of Power Projects in collaboration with a great network of stakeholders in the industry
