HUBLINK: FAST FACTS


HubLink is a disruptive new platform designed to upend the current market for marine charters. It uses a standardized interface to streamline and optimize the relationships between sea-based resource extraction and the marine charters they rely upon.

Our proprietary software removes many of the existing hurdles to efficient, timely, cost-effective charter booking. In doing so, it allows both charter companies and offshore operators to interact efficiently and centralize rapid emergency response. 

THE CHARTER PROBLEM

Resource exploration and extraction is a major industry, with countless different operations in play, all around the world, every single day. Much of this work takes place at sea or on the ocean, and most industry players don’t maintain their own fleets.

Instead, what they do is hire marine charter companies on an as-needed basis to get exploration and extraction personnel where they need to be, and when. With thousands of such charter operators to choose from, this can be a daunting task. 
 


The current model relies upon dedicated staff at resource companies whose major function is simply maintaining strong working relationships with innumerable charter operators. Using phone and email lists, staff poll known companies to find availability.

The upshot of this model is that neither charter companies nor the businesses they serve have access to the type of full-spectrum market information they need to choose the best provider, and when things go wrong, efficient communication is impossible.

HubLink’s platform is the solution to gross market fragmentation and balkanization. By putting charter operators and resource companies on the same unified platform, we ensure that everyone in the chain has transparent access to all vital information. 

Bringing both of these groups together on our platform also decreases information propagation time, which can be a key consideration in emergency planning. With our SOS feature, everyone in your production chain will know as soon as incidents happen.

GRANT HILLMAN | Founder & CEO
Oil and gas industry professional with a lifetime's worth of experience in the offshore energy market. From 1999 to 2017, Grant owned and served in leadership positions at two Gulf Coast charter businesses. His first-hand knowledge of the inefficiencies of the charter market led him to develop the idea of HubLink. As CEO and HubLink's primary seed investor, Grant is responsible for finance, top-level product strategy, and framing the company's overall vision. (LinkedIn)

 

KEVIN ("MOOSE") GONZALES | Chief Commercial Officer
Sales and marketing professional with an extensive background in oil and gas logistics. Moose's strong contract negotiation skills and vast network of contacts within the energy industry come from a well-established background working for both publicly-held and privately-owned vessel charter companies. As CCO, Moose is responsible for framing HubLink's commercial strategy, translating technical knowledge into product value, and using front-line industry intel to guide overall business development efforts.

SaaS and marketing professional with a professional background in literary studies, media production, project management, technology development, customer acquisition, and data analytics. As the CMO/CPO, Quimby manages the HubLink business development pipeline, translates marketing insights into product value, and uses customer data to increase the impact of sales and marketing efforts.
