According to Nielsen's latest Global Trust in Advertising report, people don't trust advertising, at least not as much as they trust recommendations from friends and consumer opinions expressed online.
According to the report, which surveyed more than 28,000 Internet respondents in 56 countries, 92 percent of consumers say they trust recommendations from friends and family above all other forms of advertising – an increase of 18 percent since 2007.
Word of mouth is still the most trusted resource among consumers. However, advertisers have yet to find a way to monetize these recommendations in a scalable, streamlined way.
IWearYourShirt has found creative ways to provide affordable, authentic, scalable word-of-mouth advertising by connecting businesses with real consumers willing to wear their company logo and share across social networks.
A bunch of crazies running around in sponsored t-shirts. A group of lean, mean (but actually nice), marketing machines. Okay, while technically correct, this doesn’t really describe all that we do.
We pride ourselves on being a team of well-rounded individuals who also happen to be pretty darn entertaining. As a rule, we like to break the mold when it comes to advertising. We’re highly creative with talent in front of the camera and behind it. Above all else we believe that gaining the attention of the masses begins with good content and ridiculous amounts of fun.
WHY WE ROCK (By the numbers)
We have made a lot headway and achieved substantial traction since we started in 2008.

In 2008, Jason HeadsetsDotCom (formerly Jason Sadler) realized that by leveraging the power of social media, the very shirt on his back could be a valuable way to introduce his friends to new companies.
In 2009, when the Official Shirt-Wearing begans, Jason sold an entire year of shirt-wearing, promoting a different company every single day using Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. 365 shirts were worn, and a lot of fun was had. Since that first year, IWearYourShirt has worn shirts daily for companies, growing to two shirt wearers and then five. Recognizing a demand for longer, more in-depth promotion, we have now moved to a weekly promotion model with an expanded list of services offered.
We promote a different company every week using social media. We wear their t-shirts, make fun videos and take ridiculous photos, all in an effort to get our sponsor’s name out there.
Over the past three years we have cultivated a highly-engaged community of fans that check out our daily content and support our sponsors. Our goal is to expose awesome companies to loads of people who will turn around and share them with their friends. We take our vast marketing knowledge and experience with over 1,500 companies, and apply that to our promotion strategies for our clients. More than anything, we like to have fun and like to work with companies that share that common goal.
We want to bring personality and fun back to marketing. We offer: Learn more about our services here.
Aside from the fact that this type of advertising option doesn’t exist yet, we are the only company that has four years experience wearing t-shirts on behalf of brands and creating word-of-mouth exposure for them. We have a team with marketing and advertising experience, as well as very strong design/development and management. In trying to create a lean company, a team with a versatile skillset is highly valuable. That, coupled with our low price point, makes us uniquely suited to best fit the advertising needs of our customers.
Demand is at all time high as we constantly get unsolicited emails from people who want to be shirt wearers and sponsors looking for people in their cities.
Jason HeadsetsDotCom (formerly Jason Sadler) is the founder and CEO of this operation and the guy that was crazy enough to think he could build a business out of wearing t-shirts.
Before racking up thousands of hours of social media experience for every type of company under the sun, Jason made his mark as a graphic designer and business owner of his own web design studio. Once it became clear to him that social media would be more than a passing phase, Jason set out to use these new tools to bring personality back to marketing.
Jason won the TOP 100 Entrepreneur Award back in February 2011.
Caroline Winegart joined the IWearYourShirt team in late 2011 and around here we affectionately refer to her as Director of Everything (Operations). She’s the glue that keeps this operation together, and aside from helping out with client communication, creative strategy, and managing our Facebook page, she also keeps Jason and Sean in line. Not an easy task, mind you.
Caroline has previous experience in media planning and social media strategy, but agrees that working with a couple of yahoos wearing t-shirts is the best job she’s ever had.
Sean Ely (Director of Shirt Wearers) joined the IWearYourShirt team in 2012 as a shirt wearer and video producer. His exotic red hair and superior air guitar skills make him an excellent addition to the crew. (Aside from his experience in journalism and advertising, of course.)
Sean brings energy and enthusiasm to every project he works on and every company he promotes. Not to mention he can be talked into doing just about anything for a sponsor. Feel free to test this theory by submitting a Dare on our home page and see just how far he’ll go to make a splash for our sponsors!
Kelly Sadler keeps up with all business-related finances being the Director of Accounting. She has been with IWearYourShirt since its inception in 2008 and has been intimately acquainted with the company’s financials in all of its phases.
Prior to joining IWearYourShirt, she has worked at several Fortune 500 companies, including American Express, Marsh & McLennan and Zurich Insurance Companies. Currently, she owns her own Property Management company.
