In the fall of 2011 my daughter broke her leg. It took over a week to transfer x-rays from the emergency room to the Orthopedist. I thought to myself that in this era of electronic information, it shouldn't take that long to get a proper diagnosis. I could have eliminated a weeks worth of pain and gotten her the proper care if I had the ability to get a digital file while at the emergency room and stored it online where I could pass it on. Just a month later, my brother had an issue with kidney stones while visiting. Had a service like Medi-Cloud existed, he would have been able to retrieve his history and information while in the emergency room in order for the doctors to administer more appropriate and efficient care.

These events led me to create Medi-Cloud. In order to provide the most useful service, I have elicited the help of Natalie Wade. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years and is currently the Director of Nursing at the Merrimack County Nursing Home. She has also worked in the insurance industry and has a thorough understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. She serves as a reference and consultant for Medi-Cloud in order to ensure that the service is constructed for future flexibility and integration with existing and future 3rd party systems.
