The Team

Lee Thurburn - President

 


Lee Thurburn graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981 with a BBA in Accounting. Upon graduation he worked for Arthur Anderson in their Dallas Tax Division. In 1982 he started a private CPA Firm with a partner and sold that business to his partner in 1985 when he joined First Eye Care as the Executive Director. Over two years with First Eye Care he grew the provider network (optometrists and ophthalmologists) from 7 doctors with 6 offices to 25 doctors with 17 offices across the DFW area.

From 1987 through 1993 Mr. Thurburn provided business management and consulting services to optometry and ophthalmology professionals. During that time he wrote a book titled Modern Optometry, a Practice Management Guide which sold over 5,000 copies and was used as a textbook for practice management courses at Colleges of Optometry.

In 1992 Mr. Thurburn received an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1992 he published a book titled “Mexico: The New Land of Opportunity – a Guide to doing business in Mexico” which sold a total of over 5,000 copies from 1992 through 1995. In 1993, as a result of the success of the book on Mexico, Mr. Thurburn started a publishing and online information company providing marketing services to U.S. companies looking for clients in Mexico related to the growth of trade due to the implementation of the NAFTA.

In 1995 Mr. Thurburn founded FlashNet, Inc. as an Internet Service Provider where he served as CEO and Chairman of the Board. By 1999 Mr. Thurburn grew FlashNet to nearly 400 employees and provided Internet dial-up access service to over 250,000 customers across the U.S. In March 1999 Mr. Thurburn took FlashNet public through an IPO on the NSADAQ under the symbol of FLAS. FlashNet was sold to Prodigy/S.W. Bell Telephone in October 1999.

In 2002 Mr. Thurburn founded NetOffer, Inc. as a broad-spectrum marketing service. NetOffer is a digital marketing services company offering a unique and powerful suite of integrated software system that enables clients to market their businesses in a much more efficient and cost effective manner than would be possible using other currently available systems.

Mr. Thurburn is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at U.T. Arlington and frequently speaks on the subjects of how to leverage social media technologies to increase sales and lower marketing costs. Mr. Thurburn focuses his attention on education of the audience as educated clients make the best decisions.


Mark Walters - Vice President of Business Development

 


Mark Walters brings to NetOffer a highly successful track record of top performance in management, sales and business expansion. His experience ranges from start-ups to leading $160 million business divisions with geographically dispersed teams.

Prior to joining NetOffer, he led a successful consulting business for five years focusing on sales and management operations for small businesses and start-up enterprises. Prior to this, he spent 12 years leading sales and distribution divisions for Fortune 500 firms and large privately held corporations. He also has led successful expansion operations into new territories.

Mr. Walters has distinguished himself by earning top performance awards and turning around underperforming divisions. He has also started several businesses of his own before pursuing his management career. He is often a guest speaker on sales and customer service subjects utilizing real life management and field experience to enhance the effective strategies he conveys. Mr. Walters is a graduate of St. Louis University with a BSBA in Finance.


Andrew Miller - Creative Director

 


Andrew Miller has over 13 years of design, digital, print, and video editing experience in the marketing and advertising industries. Starting as a graduate of Southern Methodist University, with a focus on graphic design, he became a web designer and videographer, as well as music composer for independent film.


Angelina Valencia - Director of Social Media Marketing

 


As the newest member of NetOffer, Angelina Valencia brings a wealth of varied experience with an emphasis on social media marketing.

Angelina graduated from Northwood University with a BBA in Business Management and AA in Advertising and Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. After interning with Dillard’s and working up through management, Angelina moved to Liz Claiborne on the wholesale side of the business to include traveling accounts in the Dallas metroplex and East Texas. Angelina then moved to Nygard International as the Regional Manager.

In 2006 Ms. Valencia started her own business selling jewelry and gift items for men and women. She successfully expanded the business to include planning and managing weddings and social events.

In 2008 Ms. Valencia became the Director of Marketing & PR for Attitudes & Attire, a non-profit agency whose mission is to build the self-esteem of women entering the workforce and to provide professional interview attire.

Angelina continues to be heavily involved in the community through her volunteer efforts. In April of this year, Angelina was presented with the Alumni Leadership Award from her alma mater Northwood University. She is on the board of the Dallas Association of Directors of Volunteers as the marketing chair, and committee board of the Mental Health Association for the 2013 Prism Fundraiser. Her passion for volunteering continues to help improve the community.
