How It Works

The TITAN 1000 uses high pressure nitrogen gas springs, NITROSHOX, for resistance. These NITROSHOX are used throughout the automotive industry to open and assist heavy moving parts like hatches, trunk lids and hoods. This is the first known perfected application where they are being used as resistance for exercise equipment instead of assistance. The NITROSHOX we use have tremendous output force capabilities from the high pressure charge of nitrogen that is sealed inside - but only weigh two lbs!

When compressed, the nitrogen gas locked inside the NITROSHOX resists the shaft from entering the tube. When the shaft moves into the tube upon compression, the volume of the gas inside decreases which increases the pressure, giving even more rebound or resistance to the compression.

Nitrogen gas is totally safe and is NOT flammable. Almost 80% of the air we breathe is nitrogen and has been used in many industrial applications. Aside from being able to accommodate beginners through professionals, our equipment’s versatility is evident in that it can be utilized for strength training, weight loss, rehab, etc. Other home gym equipment can’t do what the TITAN 1000 can do pertaining to high velocity range of motion movements.

By focusing on nitrogen gas spring technology of our design, we have come up with a huge breakthrough in resistance/strength training equipment. Our discovery of the potential of the nitrogen springs for resistance combined with our ongoing search to improve fitness and athletic performance has led us to introduce nitrogen technology into the golf industry with the NITROSWING - The Home Gym for Golfers. It allows a high-speed golf swing movement and combines this with high resistance, which could never be accomplished with traditional weights. This new low-mass/high velocity resistance technology shows great potential for developing explosive power and speed for a new level of athletes. 

The NITROSWING was designed specifically for golfers. Turning the golf swing into an exercise movement that is fueled by nitrogen gas pressure and guided by dual handle lasers with a dry erase glow in the dark target board is one of the most innovative training products the golf industry has ever seen. The initial thrust in development was to leverage the high speed/high resistance attributes that the TITAN 1000 discovered for speed and power, but in a perfect biomechanical golf swing movement. The NITROSWING delivers world-class, long drive swing power stimulus and no other golf fitness product or program even comes close to the distance results the NITROSWING has shown.  Distance WITH accuracy is the result.

There have been previous attempts to create exercise machines that mimic the golf swing.  Ones that totaly control the swing movement, ones that feel like a hand crank, ones that are just rubber bands, on and on.  If it does not feel like a golf club when you swing, and have visual and propreioceptive feedback like a club does, it is unlikely you will swing it like a club.  Face angle, Swing Path, Swing Plane, and Hand positions are critical interactive feedback information processes that the body uses to guide the swing motion.  Without Multi-Sensory Integration (see, feel, hear) you have no idea if you are doing it correctly.  That is one of the many reasons why the NITROSWING is superior to the previous attemps in creating a swing training machine.

I was once told by a very respected and famous person, "Break the rules, break the boundaries, break the barriers, and then break the records."  He told me this because it seems to be a common direction to greatness for those that pioneer and innovate the new path to the future.  Greatness also starts at a very early age and most of us never realize where we got the original spark that ignites our  imagination fuel.

I bought my first piece of exercise equipment at 10 years old when I saw an ad in a magazine.  It was a start of a powerful direction that what was to come.  At 17, I experienced air pressure resistance equipment that fitness equipment designer Dennis Keiser created.  I felt the future.  Those two memories intersected the day I had the notion to use nitrogen gas pressure to make my own exercise equipment.  I felt such compulsion to build it, I had a working prototype done in one day.  Now, I want to build them for everyone.

To me, the understanding that exercise is merely a physical stress stimulus that one adapts to, and the cause and effect are linked.  Manipulate the qualities of the stress stimulus and this results in changing the qualities of the adaptive features.  Removing the mass of the resistance mechanism would change the physics rules that all weight raining equipment must obey.  I figured without mass, high velocity movement could now work with high resistance and yield a stimulus that creates a unique, powerful, and fast trait that is then acquired from interaction.  I was correct in my assumptions and the TITAN 1000 did not just improve on the existing platform of successful home gyms, but set the bar so high it has already become the benchmark for exercise products in the future.  I wanted something extraordinary, monumental, and so extreme that professionals athletes could benefit from the use of it.

When technology opens doors and provides insight and discoveries, things that were never imagined, appear.  It's like the sun burning off the fog, and I could see what could not be seen or known before.  The NITROSWING was conceived by adopting the idea of producing power and speed that the TITAN 1000 uncovered and exposed.  It channeled it to a more focused application that provided the ability to do rotational resistance for the golf swing.  Forging a new path that combined high velocity resistance and a dual laser guidance handle system, the NITROSWING spawned one of the biggest advancements in golf instruction.  Combining the power of integrative feedback learning and high intensity movement in fractions of a second just like the golf swing, the NITROSWING amplified the stimulus, and the adaptive skills are transferred in minutes verses years to do it conventionally.  To prove it worked, Debrae trained on the first prototype for six months and qualified for the Remax World Long Drive Championships.  New to golf, I use it to train my swing to propel balls 1/4 mile long to hit with the best on the planet in the men's division of the same extreme golf distance world championships.

The powerful transformation process of the TITAN 1000 and the NITROSWING are not limited to those that want to just "get in shape", but also for those that want the ultimate in high performance fitness.  The physical limitations of man are merely reflections of the limitations of the equipment to a large extent.  Expand the boundaries of the equipment and the body has the ability to expand with it.  

And speaking of expansion and limitations, the TITAN 1000 has now been proposed for research for NASA/NSBRI as a countermeasure for accelerated bone and muscle loss due to long term exposure to microgravity in space.  On Earth, gravity and weight training is the preferred bone and muscle building solution.  But in space, weights do not work in the absence of gravity.  So, the TITAN 1000, with it's 1/2 a ton of nitrogen pressure, 100+ exercise capabilities, light weight and small size, has been proposed to solve one of NASA's oldest hurdles that prohibit long term space inhabitancy.  We look forward to changing the TITAN 1000's slogan from "World's Most Powerful Home Gym" to "The Most Powerful Home Gym in the Universe".

I can't imagine a more noble and admirable achievement than to have created a product for mass usage that became a solution that assists the expansion of humans to other worlds.  I'm very proud knowing I created the TITAN 1000 and NITROSWING, but train astronauts?  Yeah, I suppose I can handle that.  I can't wait to put that on my resume or put that title on a business card.  Train professional golfers to be even better?  Got it covered.

Rules, boundaries, records, and limitations are all subject to change.  Nitrogen is one of the most powerful and abundant elements on Earth.  Add it to anything and it becomes more than the separate parts.  Look what it did to me.  This synergistic effect of nitrogen will now will be used to expand the exercise equipment capabilities, affect millions of lives, and used to propel us all into the future.
