Our production team consists entirely of lean, mean, high caliber cross-disciplinary pros, unlike the assembly-line setup that almost all other animation studios employ.

We also have more raw computing power and technical innovation than any animation/visual effects studio in the world with fewer than 50 employees. We have a powerhouse of equipment and built it ourselves.

The Wheatfield, our most recent project is a short film written and performed by the esteemed actor Stephen Lang about an endearing tale of the Battle of Gettysburg. It's centered through the eyes of an aged Union Soldier named James Jackson Purman, as he vividly recalls his fateful encounters with friends and foe. With a half century passed since the Battle of Gettysburg, a group of battle weary Civil War veterans gather in harmony, stripping away their former allegiances to North and South in hopes of peaceful fellowship.

Using ground-breaking innovations in motion capture animation techniques and unique visuals, The Wheatfield depicts the events of the Battle of Gettysburg in a novel and illustrious manner. The film’s debut will mark the one hundred and fifty year anniversary of the bloodiest confrontation fought on American soil, of which the outcome undoubtedly changed the course of history and the meaning of freedom for all.

Omega Darling has achieved subtantial traction during the years we have operated. We have also made substantial headway into making our company one of the most trusted animation and visual effects studios in the industry.

We have set yearly goals for the first three years of business and we're on pace to meet our 3rd year goal of having strong regular client work and a positive balance sheet.

We are putting ourselves in the running for at least one national broadcast commercial spot as our next goal.

Our third year of operation will bring us to cash flow positive.

Zachary Shukan, President

Zach is a computer graphics professional with 18 years of experience in animation/visual fx/interactive. He is also a college professor at Parsons School for Design with six years experience. He was part of the founding group of a now multi-million dollar video game company (Turbine Entertainment Software) where he spent his first five years of professional experience. He has also worked with Spike TV, MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, and Nick Toons in a production capacity.

Alon Simcha, Executive Producer

A graduate of NYU Film School, Alon began his career at The Mill NY before joining the team at Omega Darling. During his time at The Mill, he worked on a number of campaigns, including some of the very first stereoscopic 3D campaigns. With a background in live action, he has produced spots for Microsoft, P&G, American Express, Comedy Central, LG, Showtime, Samsung, Emirates Air, GE, HBO and Yotel Hotels among other brands. Music video credits include promos for NERD, Jimmy Eat World, Classixx, Bo Burnham and Ghostface Killah.

Alex Smith, Creative Director

A recent graduate from Parsons School for Design, Alex began working at Omega Darling as an intern. He grew alongside the company as it began to flourish from its humble beginnings. Carrying a degree from the Illustration program at Parsons, Alex applied his skills of creativity to the animation field. Since his first day at Omega Darling, he transitioned from intern delivering coffee to head of creative development.

Magnus Atom, Lead CG

As a recent graduate of Parsons School for Design, Magnus is a visual artist who enjoys nothing more than to create visually pleasing and aesthetically beautiful work. With a fine arts background, his real passion lies in combining various styles of design, animation, and cutting edge CG techniques in a way that is both unique and infinitely versatile.

In the last two years at Omega Darling, Magnus has gone from intern to lead CG artist on several projects ranging from music videos to feature length films and has enjoyed working seamlessly with the Omega Darling team to produce work that satisfies every aspect of the clients' needs.
