They're passed off as the only way to vacation. Sadly, it has been a success for these companies, which have been able to aggressively expand and support giant marketing campaigns to position hotels, “Beach-Party” resorts and cruise lines as the “look no further” solution for all consumers when planning their next lounge by the pool getaway.

Resorts, hotels, and cruise ships do their best to distract from this by building bigger and advertising more but always deliver the same junk that has become the standard.
