Plext: Connect Your Car

Ever had your car towed and wished somebody had warned you?

Have you seen someone with a broken tail light and tried to tell them, but couldn’t?
What if there was a way to solve parked car problems without leaving a note on a windshield?

Wish no more, because now there’s Plext.

Plext: Fast Facts

The idea for Plext started with our founder, Josh Coyne. One day, he was walking home from work when he noticed that a car parked on the street in neighbor had left the dome light on in their car.

Josh wanted to let the owner know that their lights were on, but he realized: he had no way of knowing who the car belonged to, or how to reach them.

And Josh got to thinking: considering the light years in technological development since the bumper sticker, why hasn’t anyone come up with an easy way to let drivers talk to each other and let them know when something is wrong with their vehicle?

Already an entrepreneur, Josh knew this question was more than a question. It was the beginning of an idea.
