Learning about healthy eating and preparing nutritious meals can seem like a chore – and big business has duped us into purchasing foods that contain harmful additives and preservatives that wreak havoc on bodies. As a result, the overall health of our country is suffering.

Pro-Train Food for Fitness offers a large – and rotating – selection of portion-controlled healthy meals prepared by professional chefs. We are committed to making healthy, pre-portioned meals that are never boring and alway satiating . For the health of our customers and the planet, all of our ingredients are locally-sourced from ethical and environmentally-sustainable sources.

We want our customers to know what they’re putting in their bodies. That’s why our meals clearly show the ingredients and the macros (carbohydrates, fats, and proteins) on each menu item. This information is meant to educate our customers about what they are consuming and why it’s beneficial for their health.

We also committed to making it easy to access healthy food. Food for Fitness makes it quick and convenient to pay for meals. Clients can even order from their smart phone from the comfort their own home.

All meals can be delivered to or picked up by the customer every week. We have delivery or pickup on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We can also make meals to order depending on the quantity and portion size. Our plans are flexible enough to fit virtually any lifestyle.

We realize that many of our clients have struggled with healthy eating in the past, so our team wants to make the ordering process as simple as possible.

• When a customer knows what they want to order – They simply fill up their cart with a minimum for 14 items, pick their delivery date, and submit their order. The customer can look at the meal details to check the macros on each item to see which meals meet their macro-nutrient requirements.
• When a customer needs help creating a meal plan – They can directly chat with a live agent through our “LiveChat” on-site feature or  fill out the form under “Contact Us” and a team member will contact them to discuss their goals and meal options. The customer can also call in directly to speak with one of our knowledgeable coaches. We are committed to helping our clients reach their health and nutrition goals.
• When a customer wants to customize their meal – They can choose “Modification” at the end of the order to substitute various carbohydrates or select specific seasonal vegetables. Sometimes, clients will have to pay a slight fee for customization.

Our team created Food for Fitness in January 2013, and we established our LLC in 2014. From there, we launched our website and rebranded in 2015, and we began subscription plans in March 2016. We have accomplished a great deal since then.

We’re now getting ready to launch a final option that will allow customers to reduce carbohydrates and increase vegetables.

We currently have 2,277 customers, and this number grows every week. We have sold 153,000 units, with 7,600 orders being placed since February 2015.

We have established connections with 24hr Fitness in the Northern CA area, Crunch Fitness, Fitness Evolution, Team Wade Fitness, Anytime Fitness, Performance 22, Fitness Rock, and Nurtishop. Our plan is to develop standard packages for our partners which will incentivize them to drive customers to us.

We manufacture in-house and we are looking to acquire equipment to allow us to scale rapidly, while also improving product quality and shelf-life. Sysco Foods and Trinity Fresh are our food and produce vendors, and FedEx handles our food delivery beyond our local area and is scalable nationally.

We were recently voted #2 out of 30+ meal prep companies in the Sacramento area in only our second year in business. Food for Fitness has already had a great deal of success. Imagine what we can do going forward.

Christopher Wilson, CEO
As CEO, Christopher oversees and controls all strategic aspects of the company. He holds a BS in Business and Marketing from Sacramento State University and he has many years of experience in sales and executive leadership at Fortune 500 companies. Christopher also has built a large network of health professionals by competing in several NPC bodybuilding shows and consulting as a health coach, personal trainer, and nutritional consultant.

Eugene Thompson, VP of Operations
In his role as VP of Operations, Eugene directs and assists with overall operations by managing the workflow between client acquisitions and delivery. He is a former chef and a professional MMA fighter. Eugene tackles all of life’s challenges with his unmatched creativity, unrelenting dedication, and amazing interpersonal skills. He has naturally fallen into the VP of Operations role as he has helped to construct many of our processes and procedures from the ground up.

Fredrick Knight, Head Chef
Fredrick is the Head Chef and he oversees and controls kitchen operations and workflow as well as cost controls. He has over 20 years of culinary experience and he was most recently the head chef at a large northern California gaming casino. Fredrick has experience in restaurant opening and expansion as well as extensive experience in managing cost-controls in the restaurant industry.
