Puro Bioplastics utilizes biorenewable, carbon negative, biowaste to dramatically reduce the environmental impact of plastics.

There are 3 main problems with plastic:

In addition, we don’t recycle enough, plastic is clogging our landfills, and traditional plastic products take too long to naturally degrade. 

Puro Bioplastics uses biorenewable, carbon-negative, biowaste raw materials like oyster powder and agave fiber to replace traditional fossil fuel-based polymers.

We change the environmental impact of plastic products by:

The materials in our products are GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the FDA and are safe to be used for direct and indirect food and beverage contact.

Oysterplast™

  • Made from ~75-80% biorenewable, carbon negative, biowaste.
  • Can replace the fossil fuel-based resins in products by up to 50%.
  • Can lower the carbon footprint in products by up to 55%.

Agaveplast™

  • Made from at least 25% biorenewable biowaste.
  • Can replace the fossil-fuel-based resins in products by up to 50%.
  • In progress: USDA Biopreferred certification (June 2022)

Puroplast™ BioAccelerator

  • Designed for landfill, terrestrial, and marine environments.
  • Will not produce microplastics.
  • ASTM D5526 certified 98.2% bio-assimilation in 6 months
  • In progress ASTM D7475 certifications for PE and PP (November 2022) 

  • Designed for multi-use and disposable products made with HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, and PS.
  • Biomajority. Made from at least 51% biorenewable, biowaste.
  • Processed with a Let Down Ratio between 20-60%.
  • Can replace the fossil-fuel-based resins in your products by up to 50%.
  • Can lower the carbon footprint in your product by up to 55%.
  • No capital investment required, works with all plastic processing machinery.
  • Does not impact the recyclability of the product.
  • All components are Generally Recognized As Safe by the FDA so safe to be used for direct and indirect food and beverage contact.

  • Designed for multi-use and disposable products made with HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, and PS.
  • Biomajority. Made from at least 51% biorenewable, biowaste.
  • Processed with a Let Down Ratio between 10-30%.
  • Can replace the fossil-fuel-based resins in your products by up to 30%.
  • No capital investment required, works with all plastic processing machinery.
  • All components are Generally Recognized As Safe by the FDA so safe to be used for direct and indirect food and beverage contact.

  • Designed for non-recyclable disposable products made with polyolefins like HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, and PP.
  • Designed for landfill, terrestrial, and marine environments.
  • Processed with a Let Down Ratio between 1-2%.
  • Biomajority. Made from at least 51% biorenewable, biowaste.
  • No capital investment required, works with all plastic processing machinery.
  • Formula can be customized based on intended lifespan of product.
  • Will not produce microplastics. Effectively transforms the molecular structure of product into short-chain, non-plastic materials.
  • All components are Generally Recognized As Safe by the FDA so safe to be used for direct and indirect food and beverage contact.

Product Development: All 3 products are in market in Guadaljara, Mexico. Our new factory opened May 2022.

Customer Acceptance:

  • In Mexico, the technologies are being used by several manufacturing partners, including Cool Pack, Dolfra, SIEG plastics, Fantasy, Simasa, Biodemex, SITE Plastics, and many others.
  • Major retailers like Walmart, Soriana, La comer, Chedraui, Sysco, City Express, Palladium, and Marriott have been purchasing finished products made with our technologies.
  • Soriana, Tintorerias DIMAR, B2 clean, and Do it Clean are purchasing thin-film products made from our technologies.
  • We are in advanced conversations with large plastic suppliers in the US and currently undergoing product testing with them.

Patents and IP: We submitted a US patent in July 2021 for the processing of our technologies.
