RadMit, Inc develops novel radiation mitigators and anticancer drugs which reduce genetic instability and DNA damage induced by a whole variety of DNA damaging agents and carcinogens such as ionizing radiation, UV, EMS, MMS, nitrogen mustard, radioactive iodine and cigarette smoke extract. Use indludes as stockpile for governments against radiation accidents or terrorist actions, in radiation oncology, as biological sunscreen, antidote against chemical warfare, against spontaneous cancer, against cigarette smoke induced cancer, against radon induced cancer, for astronauts and pilots and flight attendants that have a higher cancer risk due to space radiation, against genetic instability and DNA repair deficient diseases.

RadMit, Inc. in Encino, California, is a research company that produces new chemicals that induce DNA repair for use as radiation mitigators, cancer chemoprevention, biological sunscreen, anti-aging, anti-pollution, cosmetics, and other purposes. To make this possible, we isolate novel chemicals with a high-throughput screen against radiation-induced DNA deletions and toxicity screening through 16,000 chemicals.

When mice are irradiated with a lethal dose where usually 100% of them die and the first dose of our radiation mitigator is given 24 hours after the radiation, we can rescue 100%. Radition induced leukemia is from 90% reduced to 40% and the spontaneous frequency from 10% down to 0%. Weekly injection of the compound increases the life expectancy of Atm deficient mice of which usually 90% die from lymphoma for 16 weeks which is about 12 years in human life expectancy. We want to develop this chemical first as a treament of Ataxia Telangiectasia of which Atm deficient mice is a model. This is an orphan disease and FDA approval for this is much faster than for regular drugs. In the menatime we will contiue with other applications as listed above.

Other radiation mitigators prevent toxicity of radiation and thus micht actually increase the cancer risk. Our mitigators are selected in the first place also against radiaiton induced genetic instability. Compounds that induce DNA repair are completely unique.
