The truth is, for a 300+ year old design, traditional umbrellas are simply unreliable.

What’s more, they are difficult to operate.  Some have mechanisms that jam just when you need them most or rust without your knowing making them unusable.  Others are plain dangerous as in the case of the spring-loaded automatic umbrella where you push a button and the shaft shoots out fast and hard.

Others have tried to innovate.  There has been much talk about the so-called inverted or ‘upside down’ umbrella.  And, it can’t be denied that sales have been brisk.  But, once the user actually tries it they see that the umbrella is structurally like all old-fashioned umbrellas-- fabric secured to ribs.

And, in fact, there are more ribs making the inverted umbrella weaker not stronger against the elements than traditional umbrellas.

After three centuries, you would think there would have been some meaningful innovation to a tool millions of people rely on every day.

At Reign, we dedicated ourselves to creating the strongest most reliable umbrella the world has ever seen.

In a head-to-head wind test against an umbrella, from a well regarded Australia-based company,  considered among the strongest in the world, Reign held up far better.  The umbrellas were attached to the back of car and blown inside out.  At 50 MPH the competitor’s umbrella was a shredded wreck.  The Reign design remained perfectly intact and continued unaffected at 60 MPH.

Launched in 2014, The Reign Umbrella Company has spent the last three years perfecting the world’s first frameless umbrella.

            
The logo for Reign is trademarked and we fully expect our utility patent to be issued in 2-4 months based on correspondence with the USPTO.  We also can apply for at least 3 design patents at the appropriate time.

In addition, we have secured an exclusive sales agreement with Peerless Umbrella, North America’s largest seller of promotional umbrellas. We have paired with Chinese firm Ming Ho Brothers Mfg Co., Ltd., a Xiamen, Fujian province-based company that produces over 7M umbrellas every year, for our production.

Reign’s extraordinary jump start opportunity: pre-sales before moving to consumer sales

Peerless Umbrella, the largest seller of promotional umbrellas in North America 10 years running, has agreed to sell the Reign umbrella via its enormous promotional product distributor network.  In return for a 2-year exclusive (limited to sales of promotional umbrellas)  Peerless will purchase umbrellas directly from the factory and pay us a royalty. The royalty would go up as sales increased and factory costs reduce with volume.  Promo sales year one will be a minimum 15,000 to up to 100,000 units. With promotional sales underway at no cost to Reign we will then start selling to consumers via:

Responsible for the day-today operations of Reign, Nelson utilizes his former banking and manufacturing executive experience to lead the team and overseeing management. Prior to Reign, he was CEO of Dizolve, where he raised $4M in funding and created a stand-alone brand in the hyper-competitive home cleaning products industry. He is also responsible for growing Standard Innovation Corp. from a small start-up to a $20M company with no debt in 3 years.

Kevin Bailey | Head of Design & Engineering
The founder and president of Design 1st, Kevin leads a 30-person design engineering team that creates 70 new products a year. Since its founding, the company has built 700 new products and had over 200 client patents awarded.  Prior, he had been a part of Nortel Global’s award-winning Design Group for 13 years.
