Revitalized Life Massage Therapy would provide a variety of wellness services, from multiple types of massage therapy (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, et cetera) to complementing midnight yoga classes, pre-dawn morning meditation and other on-demand "luxury" services, education, and community awareness, at reasonable and affordable prices. Revitalized Life Massage Therapy also at its core supports the community of Rockford, Illinois, and is in the process of developing relationships with food pantries, women's shelters, and the local American Cancer Society office to offer massage to people who cannot afford it.

The business was started in July 2012 with a single therapist, serving over 200 clients in the past nine months alone. Revitalized Life Massage Therapy was chosen as one of Groupon's Best of 2012 massage services and continues to provide excellet personalized massage, tailored to each client's unique needs and situation. Our therapist is licensed by the State of Illinois, holds a certification by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, and has been certified in Cold Stone Therapy for Migraines, trained by the developing therapist herself, Kelly Lott, LMT, in September 2012. Future education and certification in reflexology, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy and Reiki energy work will allow us to provide unique combinations of modalities to best assess each client's needs for optimal health and wellness.

I am passionate about EVERYONE receiving massage, knowing the benefits and understanding the impact that a complete wellness plan can have on the client's life. I believe massage is a luxury everyone should be able to afford! Having spent most of my adult life in high stress industries, working an average workweek of 70-80 hours, I know how hard it is to juggle work, school, home and family, and still take time or for myself.. or even being able to afford doing so. My passion for education, awareness, and proactive self-care for everyone makes it easy for me to provide the level of empathetic, tailored massage for my clients.

My Phase I goals for the space is allocating the first $5,000 to be spent on construction and design of a calming, neutral space, with rooms for massage, classes and consultations, as well as a kitchen area and laundry room. The designs will include a theme for each treatment room, as well as energy- efficient and environmental friendly lighting. Up to $4,000 will be used to purchase linens, appliances, hot & cold therapy supplies, and daily operating marerials. Additionally, we plan to use $1,000 to purchase a washer and dryer to be available to all therapists at all times. Another $1,500 will be used to purchase a desk, computer and software for the reception area. The remaining balance will be allocated to payroll for hiring at least one more therapist and a yoga instructor.
