This business model is to acquire existing transportation services businesses and consolidate the administrative functions to the purchaser.  This allows the parent company an ability save administrative costs while increasing profits and efficiencies for each location.

Product/Service Details

FedEx Ground and FedEx Line Haul operations are outsourced services to dedicated contractors who 'own' their routes.  FedEx started this model back in the 1980's and has had gret success in this operation.  Each of the routes are capped for capacity of the driver/contractor at 500 stops.  If the route exceeds 500, a new route is created and offerred to contractors.  The contractor is responsible for the trucks, delivery, insurance, and employees.  There are also incentive bonuses for contractors who perform well in delivering or exceed expectations.  This is where we will exceed our competition in quality and efficiency to earn more income.

Traction & Accomplishments

Each contractor has a number of vehicles that are currently paid off for these acquisitions and will become immediate assets of the business.  The target market we are after is the east coast where continued population growth is occurring.  This is important for us as population grows, our ability to expand or purchase more routes will grow.  Each of these businesses we're looking to acquire have a consistent 5-25% annual growth.  Annual growth to this business is simply more packages being delivered to more locations.

How We're Different

We are different in that the routes we're looking to purchase are used to an owner that has little vision on growth and market share.  Our goal is take multiple routes in different locations that we can significantly reduce overhead expenses and drive quality to a new level of incentive bonuses provided by FedEx.  We are also targeting a vision that profits are shared with investors annually for their equity while also reinvesting in the business to buy additional routes for increased revenue.

He has traditionally served as a consultant to many large scale organizations throughout the Midwest and has started several small businesses in technology management. Robert is looking to make the leap into growing a business using his experience, into a new level of profitability and income. This business model is one that he has the supply chain and logistics background to manage day to day operations, while bringing his business management and finance experience to consolidate expenses into a more profitable business model.
