scootroute: fast facts

Founder Meghan Braley loves micromobility, sustainability, fun and safety. As a Vespa rider since 2009, she had first-hand (first-wheel?) experience with the frustration of getting from downtown Boston to her parents’ house 10 miles west of the city.

As she rode down major highways fearing for her safety, Braley dreamed up the idea for ScootRoute. She bought the domain more than 10 years ago. When micromobility shared providers Bird and Lime scooted onto the scene, she parked her fin tech career, and grabbed the ScootRoute handlebars full time.

can’t get there
from here

Micromobility devices like scooters, mopeds and e-bikes are great problem-solvers.

These two-wheel dream devices help cut down on traffic congestion, especially in big metropolitan areas.

They also offer a sustainable alternative to traditional gas-guzzling vehicles.

meet your co-pilot

ScootRoute shows micromobility lovers the way.

We offer the first bonafide navigation routing engine, designed exclusively for those with a passion for riding on two or three wheels.

Our solution offers a better-informed route and a simpler answer to city congestion.

We help members of scooter nation, both private riders and shared riders, get where they’re going safely, while simplifying micromobility regulatory standards. With ScootRoute, riders can navigate the roads and the rules. Users can sit back, have fun and help the environment while getting to their destination — we’ll take care of the rest.

ScootRoute also helps cities, college campuses and organizers contain the chaos of the growing micromobility revolution. Our two-wheel data collection is two-fold, helping riders and planners. With a consumer and B2B perspective, our data can show the way to better infrastructure planning for more convenient, safer micromobility routes.

With ScootRoute, the co-pilot is always on duty.

smart navigation
for micromobility

Our API solution shows businesses the way. Our patent-pending routing engine combines multiple mapping tools with proprietary logic that shared providers can integrate into their own apps as a product feature.

having a great trip

ScootRoute’s having a heck of a ride so far and we still have miles of road ahead.

Ready to roll | We launched our B2C MVP in both app stores in August 2020, and launched our B2B API in July 2021.

Ride along | We’re working with the charging company Swiftmile to incorporate one of their busiest locations in Miami. The charging station shows up as a branded destination and location. A microfleet provider serving hotels and airbnb will integrate our API in 2022. We’re also in talks with a shared e-bike provider on a pilot program.

Watch out | We received media attention from The Business Journals BostINNO and Elektrec. We also captured some attention sponsoring bike races like the DMV Trails Tour in Washington, D.C.

Winning ride | We’re tooting our own horn. We earned the Mobile Web Award for Best Transportation Mobile App, the MarCom Awards Gold Winner App for Service and the AVA Awards Platinum for Mobile Information Experience. We’re also a featured exhibitor at Start Up Grind’s Summit in September.

Honored | We were just honored as a finalist in Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards for Best in Mobility.

making micromobility riders happy

While we’re glad to brag a little about our tech achievements and awards received, we love to let our customer numbers do the talking.
