Sift Local: Fast Facts

Sift Local is a software that simplifies the vendor registration process for art festivals and maker fairs.

Event organizers, artisans, and consumers leverage Sift Local as a place to connect and collaborate.

Our built-in online marketplace allows vendors to sell their handmade and artisanal products to event attendees and the community at large.

Key Highlights

We’re fully operational and have generated monthly recurring revenue from event organizers and artisan users

We acquired 4,500 registered users in five weeks, have three paying events and more than 70 in the pipeline

Event partners include big names like the Denver Flea, Renegade Craft Fair, and The Indie South

Organizing Arts Events is Complicated

Connecting local makers with consumers is
difficult for everyone involved.

For Consumers

Finding a local, handmade artisan quickly and easily is nearly impossible.

Current digital platforms are struggling to retain authentic artisans and makers, provide little context and can be time consuming for users sorting through their search results.

Plus, events pop up randomly throughout the year and don’t provide a year-round shopping experience.

For Event Organizers & Artists

Organizing arts festivals, maker fairs and local markets can be a logistical nightmare, with vendor applications, payment, marketing, email and other tracking functions all taking place on different platforms.

Artists and makers handle various aspects of their business, from applying to events, updating their website, and growing their social media following to gain customers. These are all time-consuming processes that happen over a variety of different platforms.

Sift Local Simplifies
                                           the Process

For event organizers, our software streamlines the vendor application and registration process while growing our network of vendors and artisans. Organizers can also make public listings of upcoming events to generate interest among potential customers.

In addition to applying to local events, artisans and makers can create public profiles to sell their work and connect with consumers.

Consumers get a one-stop shop to follow and support their favorite local vendors as well as stay up to date on upcoming events.

How it Works

The event partners that have been receptive to our platform include big names like the Denver Flea, Renegade
Craft Fair, and The Indie South.

We’re also a pending Certified-B corporation with plans to complete the certification before the end of the year.

We’ve also partnered with Inner City Arts, a youth-based organization in Los Angeles that provides art-based experiences to underprivileged kids.
