Ashley Ness is the owner and artistic director of Silhouette Dance Company, founded in 2009. She is a committed dance teacher, educator, choreographer and performer that has a passion for sharing her love of dance to people of all ages. Beginning her dance training at the age of 2, Ashley has been surrounded by dance her whole life. She trained under Michelle Davis for 12 years in tap, ballet, jazz and drill team. During her high school years, she was a member of the state and national champion Pure Gold Dance Team at Boswell High School. While there, she held the title of Junior Lieutenant and Captain of the team. As an officer she received irreplaceable experience as a choreographer for all team and officer routines and developed her skills as a leader. After high school, she went on to study at The University of North Texas in Denton. There, she was a student of the dance department studying ballet, jazz and modern dance. During her time in college she also worked at her home studio, Encore School of Dance, as an instructor to children ages 3-18. During this time as an instructor Ashley developed her love of teaching dance. In 2006, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a secondary education certification. After graduation, Ashley was awarded the position of drill team director for the Denton High School Fillies as well as a teaching position in the history department. She taught for two years and then decided she wanted to venture out on her own. In 2009, Silhouette Dance Company was formed to provide dance instruction as well as personal and custom attention to drill teams in the North Texas area.

Alee has been dancing since the age of 6 and for 7 years old and competed in multiple dance competitions in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. She attended Denton High School where she was a member and choreographer for the Fillies Drill Team. Alee has and is currently choreographing and performing all over the state of Texas, including Move to Groove (a spinoff of The Carnival in L.A.), Destination Imagination at Sky Ranch, Go Pro Industrial, Kids for Kids, Relay for Life, Dance for The Planet, Six Flags, and many Arts and Jazz Festivals. She is trained in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Clogging, Lyrical, HipHop, and Drill. Dance instruction has/is under the instruction of Barry Kyle, Nicole Gray, Roger Lee, Micheal Mayes, Airynne Swanson, Kaitlyn Torres, Cindy Capener, NX Level and Samantha Camrillo just to name a few. She continues her dance education with weekly classes, workshops, and conventions.

Miranda Alfonso, from Denton, Texas, began studying dance at age 7. During her training, Miranda attended national dance conventions and was a scholarship receipt for her excellence in performance and technique. Miranda's membership in the Denton High School Fillies Drill Team helped to cultivate her love of dance and pushed her to continue her dance training at Texas Woman's University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in dance. Miranda has enjoyed performing with companies such as the Simple Sparrow Dance Company and in the Texas Woman's University Dance Department's semester concerts. Upon graduation, Miranda has had wonderful opportunities teaching at dance studios in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area and performing for local dance companies. http://malfons1.wix.com/artistportfolio
