Cheryl Piper began A Sweet Sensation of Salt because she wants to help people feel better, simplistically and easily. Traditional paths for dealing with ailments can be both time consuming and costly. Going to see a doctor will result in pricey prescriptions or over-the-counter medications that can often only mask symptoms.

Cheryl Piper has always been a firm believer that "everything happens for a reason." She had just left her job of 28+ years in business management and was searching for a new career when she first heard of a "salt spa" – it was during a trip to reconnect with family she had not seen in a very long time. Her sister spoke highly of the local spa, and because Cheryl had been experiencing immense stress and trouble sleeping for quite some time, her sister insisted that she try it out. Not only was the spa interesting and beautifully decorated with calming Himalayan décor, but the therapy worked.

While her travels did not work out entirely the way she had hoped, Cheryl came back to California reinvigorated with life. Her trip had exposed her to halo therapy, an experience from which she knew her community could benefit. She had also renewed many fond connections with distant family members. The trip reconfirmed Cheryl's belief that "everything happens for a reason."

Cheryl now had a brand new adventure to start and a wonderful treatment to share with everyone she could. She researched salt/halo therapy and put together a business plan to open a halo therapy spa in Westlake Village, California that could help others the way she had been helped.

A Sweet Sensation of Salt will be located in Westlake Village, California as the first independent/stand alone halo therapy spa in Ventura County. It will become part of the quickly growing industry presence in Southern California.

Just northwest of Los Angeles, Ventura County is bordered by beautiful mountains and miles of beaches and is considered amongst the "health conscious capitol of Southern California and the West." The halo therapy spa will be centrally located in order to serve the entire county, including cities such as Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo & Oxnard and the northwest sections of the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.

Cheryl has laid out all the plans, figures, and methods to launch A Sweet Sensation of Salt Halo Therapy Spa, but building out the facility is expensive — in total it will cost approximately $25,000.

We want to offer the best service to as many people as possible, and we'd like to start as soon as possible. So many are looking for a way to feel better naturally, relieve their ailments and reduce their stress. We can help all ages, from young children to older adults who may have a one-time or chronic ailment.
