Tastefull Vegan Frozen Desserts serves a range of sweet treats ranging from 100% refined sugar free freezepops and ice cream bars.  We also offer other desserts using vegan sweeteners that are free of the top 8 common allergens and customers who come for soft serve, milkshakes or flurries are at ease knowing that their treats are being prepared in a dedicated facility.

Memorial Day Weekend we introduced the Tastefull Vegan Ice Cream Shop and the community from Detroit to Denmark has been coming to support this black and woman owned business.

How We're Different

When Tastefull Vegan set out to define our customer profile, it wasn't about popularity, we actually were searching for the underdogs.  Those who've typically been left with only one item to choose from on the menu.  Often health concerns or specific food lifestyles are met with challenges when it comes to variety.  That's why Tastefull exists.  The gluten free, nut free, and dairy free crowd can feast on multiple menu items at Tastefull's Ice Cream shop.  Tastefull aims to serve more options to those who are often presented with less.

Kalene McElveen - Owner

Dessert Maker and Healthy Food Educator 

Kalene McElveen is an experienced healthy eating advocate and entrepreneur. She has spent over 20 years working with individuals to embrace healthy eating and live healthy lifestyles and is exceptionally skilled in working with individuals with dietary restrictions and food allergens. In 2018, she authored the Daniel Feast cookbook providing recipes to guide people through the Daniel Fast, whether it be for 21 days or as a lifestyle. Kalene is the owner of Tastefull, a local business with national reach that provides allergen free non-dairy superfood desserts. Her tasty treats are available in local retailers such as Harvest Health, the historical Fulton Street Farmers Market, and now available at Michigan's first Top 8 Allergen Free Ice Cream shop which opened in Wyoming, Michigan in May 2022. She is the mastermind behind Vegan on the Weekend, a social media page that provides weekly vegan recipes, local product highlights, and tips for a balanced and healthy vegan lifestyle. Kalene resides in West Michigan with her three greatest supporters, her husband Leonard and her children Leonard Joshua and Sophia Grace. Her passion is to be a resource that empowers others to eat and live healthy, while enjoying Tastefull one bite at a time.
